The Center for the Revival of Heritage Organizes a Workshop to Promote Professional Integrity and Protect Public Funds

The Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad held a workshop on the morning of Tuesday, 23 December 2025, entitled “Financial Auditing and Its Role in Detecting Violations and Embezzlement”, in Professor Nabila Abdul Moneim Dawood Hall, as part of a series of administrative activities organized by the University of Baghdad. The event was attended by a number of administrative and academic staff.

The session was chaired by Mr. Fares Issa Fares, Director of Administration at the Center. The lecture was delivered by Ms. Hanaa Jassim Hussein from the Financial Oversight Department and Ms. Iman Ali Mohammed from the Research and Service Centers Division, who discussed the concept of financial auditing, its importance in promoting integrity and transparency, and its pivotal role in detecting financial violations and reducing cases of embezzlement.

The workshop emphasized the importance of implementing effective auditing systems and raising financial awareness among employees, contributing to the protection of public funds and the improvement of administrative and institutional performance. Discussions addressed various topics related to employee conduct in governmental departments, stressing the necessity of honesty, integrity, and adherence to professional values, while avoiding any unlawful practices such as embezzlement or manipulation of public funds.
