Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Laith Majid Hussein, Director of the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad, our Center organized a celebration on the occasion of the Iraqi National Day on Thursday, October 2, 2025in Professor Nabila Abdul Moneim Dawood Hall, attended by a number of professors, academics, and Center staff members.

The celebration was chaired by Lecturer Dr. Liqaa Shakir Al-Shuraifi, a faculty member at our Center, who delivered a speech highlighting the significance of this special and historic day, marked by various official and popular activities across the Iraqi provinces. She emphasized that this day symbolizes the unity of the Iraqi people and their aspirations for a future of peace, stability, and development, as the country continues its path toward strengthening its regional and international standing. Professor Dr. Laith Majid Hussein, the Director of the Center, also delivered a speech on this occasion, recalling this historic day as one on which Iraqis renew their pledge to uphold national unity, preserve their collective identity, and strive to build a future worthy of their ancient civilization—a future characterized by security, stability, and prosperity.

The administration of the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to retired faculty member Dr. Salah Rasheed Al-Salihi for donating a collection of scientific and cultural books to our library. We wish him continued success in his distinguished academic career

The Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad expresses its gratitude to researcher Ahmed Al-Aqib Al-Tamimi for donating a valuable collection of books to the Center’s library. Prof. Dr. Wasan Hussein Muheimid, a faculty member in the Department of Humanities at the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage / University of Baghdad, has published Volumes II and III of her book entitled:

“The Complete Works of Father Dr. Boutros Haddad.” We wish continued success and excellence in her distinguished academic career

In response to the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education  , the Center, led by Mr. Fares Issa Fares and a group of staff members, joined the Arbaeen Pilgrimage campaign in August 11–12, 2025. This sacred occasion reflects the values of unity, altruism, and standing for truth, transcending sectarian and geographical boundaries to carry a universal humanitarian message.

Dr. Laith Majid Hussein, Director of the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad, has been awarded the title of Professor, the highest academic rank granted to faculty members, after fulfilling all the required scientific period On this occasion, the staff of the Center extends congratulations to Dr. Laith Majid, wishing him continued progress and success. May his knowledge and efforts be blessed in service of his university and country.
