The University of Baghdad has announced that the College of Administration and Economics and the Higher Institute for Accounting and Financial Studies have been included in the QS Global MBA Rankings 2026, achieving a world ranking of 301+ out of 389 participating universities, and 22nd place in the Middle East for Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs — marking their first appearance in this global classification.

In another significant academic achievement, the University ranked 201+ globally in the Master’s in Finance category, making it the only Iraqi university to enter this prestigious ranking. This accomplishment reflects the excellence of its postgraduate programs and the University’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the quality of education and scientific research.

The QS Global MBA Ranking is based on five key indicators:

Employ ability (40%)

Return on Investment (20%)

Entrepreneurship and Alumni Outcomes (15%)

Thought Leadership (15%)

Diversity (10%)

This advancement is the result of the University of Baghdad’s dedicated efforts—through its colleges and institutes—to develop curricula, achieve international quality standards, and strengthen its presence among prestigious global rankings, thereby reinforcing its academic and regional standing.
