The center of heritage revival organizes workshop :

Under the supervision of prof. Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim (the director of the center), the center organized workshop entitled (Illegal immigration and its impact on Iraqi society)on Wednesday 27th/11/2024 on the gallery of the center in university /media department , the lecture is presented by Dr. Emtithal K. Sarhan (one of the lecturer in the center) Migration is defined as staying in a country illegally or entering legally and not leaving within the legally specified period allowed for staying. It is an issue that requires an evaluation of each of the intended country of migration, the source country, and the transit country, each one separately. Iraq faces a set of challenges and risks of migration to it, which are represented by the reality of foreign labor in Iraq and its negative and positive societal impacts. Labor has turned into a real problem that requires urgent action, especially with the state’s inability to employ its citizens, the high unemployment rates, and the shift in the balance of work in the private sector in favor of foreign labor. Employers now prefer foreign workers through illegal immigration due to their low wages and few requirements. She also added that Iraqi society suffers from illegal immigration from within Iraq to Europe and neighboring countries in search of safety and job opportunities, in addition to the political, security, and economic conditions that Iraq has witnessed over the past three decades, which led to the migration of scientific competencies in search of a better future. In conclusion, the workshop included several interventions on the subject by finding solutions and recommendations to achieve security and economic stability in the country, in addition to improving the reality of education, creating equal job opportunities for young people, and reducing migration

The center of heritage revival organizes workshop

Under the supervision by prof. Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim , the center organizes workshop entitled ( the famous Arabs and their effect in Arabic Renaissance era , the lecture is presented by prof. Dr. nadia Gathban Mohammad (one of the lecturers in Iraqi scientific collective ) The researcher discussed the Renaissance from a linguistic, historical and philosophical perspective since its inception in Europe and the extension of its impact to Arab countries due to the European occupation. She then talked about the most important representations of this Renaissance in Iraq, its fields and the influential names that contributed to shaping the map of cultural, political, social and artistic awareness. She also showed that the Renaissance is a continuous state between the past and the present because it is linked to the way of thinking. This does not mean that critical thinking should not be practiced on it, but rather it is a necessity to review to measure its impact, especially in what was produced by newspapers and magazines that dealt with the daily life of Iraqi society and its situation with the establishment of the concept of the modern state. The researcher touched on the importance of institutions in supporting the intellectual renaissance in Iraq. Among the most prominent of these institutions is the Scientific Institute founded by Thabet Abdel Nour in the 1920s and the Iraqi Scientific Academy, which included great names, some of whom are involved between the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage and the Academy, such as Dr. Taha Baqir, who founded an Iraqi archaeological school with its own features, and Professor Dr. Saleh Ahmed Al-Ali, who established a method for reading Arab history. She touched on the legal renaissance at the hands of the head of the Iraqi Scientific Academy, Professor Munir Al-Qadi, and his impact on the formulation of civil law in Iraq. As for the field of artistic renewal, we find Jawad Salim, who was able to draw inspiration from what is historical and local to bring it to the global scene. In conclusion, the director of the center thanked the lecturer, wishing her continued success.

The lecture was given by the Legal Advisor (Manal Faeq Abbas) and the Legal Advisor (Manaf Ahmed Shaalan) / Federal Integrity Commission, speaking about money laundering, which aims to give a legal character to the funds that represent the proceeds of crimes and their returns, regardless of the type of crime committed and the description of the perpetrator. It is a process resorted to by those working in drug trafficking and transnational and unorganized organized crimes to hide the unreal source of (dirty) illegal money and camouflage to give legitimacy to illegal income. The speakers emphasized the crimes that harm the national economy and aim to combat national money laundering laws and international agreements. Including the Convention against Drug Trafficking and the Palermo Convention against Transnational Organized Crime to prevent the concealment of the true source of illegally acquired funds and to protect companies that are exploited in money laundering crimes without their knowledge. Combating money laundering is part of economic development procedures. In conclusion, the Director of the Center thanked the lecturers for giving attention to important topics that are considered contemporary problems, hoping to raise these issues in workshops and discussion groups in the future.

workshop(Prediction of rain and drought among the Arab)

The center of heritage revival organizes workshop(Prediction of rain and drought among the Arab)

Under supervision by prof. Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim (the director of the center) , the center of heritage revival organizes workshop  entitled(Prediction of rain and drought among the Arab)on Tuesday 26th/12/2024 with presence of many researchers and professors . the research is presented by prof. Dr. Salar Ali Khudhair (the chief of humanity sciences department) who talks about the ways that Arabs uses to predict rain and dryness It became clear that they have many methods in this field, most of which focused on short-range weather forecasting, which consisted of observing stars and planets, sky colors, bird species, cloud characteristics, winds, and atmospheric humidity for the summer and fall months. In order to verify some of these methods, climate data on relative humidity (monthly and annual) were used for four months (June-July-August-September), and statistically linked (Pearson correlation equation) with rainy season rainfall. The results showed that the statistical relationship is weak and insignificant between the two variables. However, in general, the northern stations (Mosul-Kirkuk-Khanaqin) recorded inverse relationships. While most of the southern and central stations (where the dry desert and semi-arid climate is prevalent) showed direct correlations, meaning that the increase in summer humidity indicates the possibility of an increase in rain (autumn, winter and spring).

seminar (Andalusian lead plates)

The center of heritage revival organizes seminar (Andalusian lead plates) :

Under the supervision of prof. Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim , the center of heritage revival organizes seminar entitled (Andalusian lead plates( on Monday 25th/11/2024 in the hall of Nabila A. Dawood in the center , the seminar is presented by prof. Dr. Wijdan Fareeq Enad (one of the center’s members) who talks about Andalusia through the period Following the surrender of the city of Granada, we find many historical issues that deserve to be stopped and studied, including the lead tablets, about which opinions differed, forming a mystery that is still mysterious and needs to be explained in several aspects. What attracts attention is that most studies on them try to prove that they are fake, and it seems that these researchers ignore that historical truth has more than one aspect, so why is the hypothesis of the truth of these tablets often met with dissatisfaction?! Therefore, we believe that researchers must be armed with other auxiliary sciences when studying these tablets in order to reach what is closest to the historical truth. Using mineralogy to know their mineral composition, and studying the type of writing, the nature of the language and the linguistic vocabulary used in their content, will reveal other angles from which the credibility of these tablets can be reconsidered. However, these tablets still have an undeniable historical value, as they are an integral part of a historical era that must receive more in-depth and serious studies
