The Center of heritage revival organizes a seminar

Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Alaa Nafeh Jassim, Director of the Center, the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad organized a seminar entitled (Ingredients for the success of tourism in the Iraqi marshes) on Monday morning, 4/17/2023, in the presence of a number of professors and researchers, and in the hall of Ms. Nabila Abdel Moneim, The seminar was delivered by Dr. Emtithal Kazem Sarhan, a teacher at our center, who talking about Iraq’s enjoyment of the diversity of its geographical topography, and this gave it the characteristic of distinction in the field of tourism. It must be preserved as a source of natural tourism. Water, reeds, papyrus, and livestock are represented by the diversity of migrating birds and buffaloes, as well as the nature of life in the marshes, all of which are features that ensure preserving them from extinction.

 

The center heritage revival organizes a celebration on World Heritage Day

Under the auspices of the Director of the Center for the Revival of the Arab Scientific Heritage, the Professor Dr. Alaa Nafeh Jassim the head of the center orgnizes, the celebration of (World Heritage Day)which  was held on the eighteenth of April, the day approved by the international organization UNESCO in order to protect the global human heritage in all countries of the world To preserve the cultural heritage of the peoples, especially our Arab homeland, including our dear country, which is full of cultural and historical heritage, the fact that Iraq is a cradle of civilizations, and a country rich in a diverse heritage.

 

 

 

 

The Center of revival heritage organizes a workshop

Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Alaa Nafeh Jassim, the cheif of the Center, the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad organized on Wednesday morning, corresponding to 4/19/2023, in the hall of Professor Nabila Abdel Moneim Daoud, and in the presence of a number of professors and researchers, a workshop entitled (Earthquakes, their causes and methods of prevention Among them) the lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shihab Ahmed Al-Banna from the College of Science, Department of Earth Sciences, University of Baghdad, talking about Earthquakes that are a natural phenomenon occurs daily in specific locations often and in small amounts. Large earthquakes are preceded by relatively small earthquakes, which are precursors to the main earthquake and last for several weeks or months.

The Center of revival heritage organizes a symposium

The Manuscripts Department at the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the Iraqi House Foundation for Creativity presented by Mr.Hisham Al-Dhahabi,which organized on Wednesday morning, corresponding to 3/5/2023, in the presence of a number of professors and researchers, in the institution’s hall, its scientific symposium tagged “Educational institutions for childhood between heritage and contemporary The symposium shelter homeless children.

At the end of the symposium, Prof. Dr. Alaa Nafeh Jassim, the cheif of the Center thanked , Mr. Hisham Al-Dhahabi, and all the employees of the Foundation, for making their work an abundant reward in the balance of their good deeds

 

The unit of continuous education organizes course :

Jassim the chief of the center , the unit of continuous education in cooperation with the center of health  organized course entitled ( first aid) through a period from 5-6/4/2023 where sited in the gallery of the center present about 38 participants , the lecture presented by assist. Prof. Dr. Mohamad Abdul hasan Jibara /health center , he defines first aid as  the immediate and temporary care that a person receives as a result of sudden exposure to an emergency health condition that led to bleeding, wounds, fractures, fainting, etc. To save his life until specialized medical care is provided to him, by the arrival of the doctor to the scene of the accident or by transferring him to the nearest hospital or medical clinic. towards the patient Then Dr. Fadli Saadoun Jabbar / Health Center  was talking about burns and their types and how to deal with them by the paramedic until he is transferred to the hospital and she talked about cases of suffocation, fainting, scarring, run over cases and electric shock, remembering the most important methods that the paramedic does in order to preserve his life and in conclusion The Director of the Center thanked the lecturers, wishing them continued success …

Jasim , , the department of humanity sciences organizes a workshop entitled ( professor Dr. Fadhil Alsamarie and his scientific efforts in Quranic studies) where sited in the hall of Nabila A. Amunam Dawood  in the center. The lecture presented by prof. Dr. Anas Esam Ismaiel ( the chief of humanity sciences department in the center who talked about the efforts of Dr. Fadhil in the In the graphic interpretation of the words of the Holy Qur’an, it also dealt with a brief summary of his scientific writings and university theses that were written in his scientific efforts. Dr. Fadhil was one of the professor of Baghdad College of Arts It is worth noting that he was honored by the Minister of Higher Education a few days ago More than 18 university theses have been written about him talking about his scientific efforts and his writings. Dawood . the lecture presented by assist. Prof. Basma Khalil Namiq (college of political sciences who talked about the violence against women defined It is the violence that is practiced deliberately or exceptionally against women, whether it is physical or psychological, as it is considered the most common violation of human rights, remembering the United Nations declaration of the elimination of violence against women, as all humanitarian organizations in the world work to combat this phenomenon and mentioned that the date of 25 November is the International Day for Combating Violence against Women. Professor Dr. Alaa Nafie, cheif of the Center, delivered her speech on the occasion of this day, and Professor Dr. Saadi Al-Daradji delivered his lecture titled (Heritage Sites in Iraq), The cultural organization of UNESCO and its serious endeavors in preserving the world heritage and popular heritage as well as protecting museums, religious heritage and historical cities in Iraq and the Arab world as a whol..

Heritage Revival Center organizes a workshop

 

Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Alaa Nafeh Jassim, Director of the Center, the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad organized on Wednesday morning, 18/1/2023, in the hall of Professor Nabila Abdel Moneim Daoud, a panel discussion entitled (Iraqi minarets, their history, functions, architecture) The seminar was delivered by Prof. Dr. Saadi Ibrahim Al-Daradji, Head of the Department of Pure Sciences at our center, speaking about the history of minarets in the Islamic city and their types, including the ladder minaret, the cylindrical minaret, the polygonal one, and the square minaret. He focused on the minarets of the city of peace, which witnessed the construction of different styles of minarets, the most important of which is the cylinder decorated with motifs of faience. Then he talked about the oldest minarets in Iraq, the most important of which are the Malwiya in Samarra, the Hadbaa in Mosul, and a minaret on it. He presented examples from Baghdad, especially the minaret of the Caliphate Mosque, the Qamar minaret, the slippers, and the Marjan Mosque…and touched on its various functions that we discover through the sources. Then he mentioned something about its architecture, the methods of building it, and the implementation of its decorations, whether the decorations were brick, stone, or faience, as well as the writings that adorned its balconies, bodies, and bases. The center’s professors participated in the discussion and influenced this panel discussion through questions, as opinions were raised about the maintenance of the minarets, which were affected by terrorism in Iraq, and an emphasis on documenting and reviving them again. In conclusion, the director of the center thanked the lecturer, wishing him continued success.

 

 

Heritage Revival Center organizes an electronic symposium

 

The Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage / University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the Center for Mosul Studies, University of Mosul, organized an electronic symposium entitled (Scientific Connections between Mosul and Baghdad until the end of the Ottoman era) on Thursday, corresponding to 3/16/2023 at four o’clock in the afternoon, via the Google Meet platform ‏

Where the symposium began with the speech of the Preparatory Committee delivered by Prof. Dr. Maysoon Thanoon Al-Abaiji, Director of the Mosul Studies Center, in addition to the speech of the Scientific Committee presented by Prof. Dr. Alaa

Nafeh Jassim, Director of the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage / University of Baghdad. The symposium was divided into two sessions, in which 19 researchers from Iraq and abroad participated.

– Exchanging opinions, ideas, and proposals that pertain to these scientific connections and enhance future studies in this regard.

Directing researchers participating in the work of this symposium to express their opinions and suggestions for future work

– The researchers donate their productions of books and scientific literature, which are related to the city of Mosul, to the library of the Mosul Studies Center to provide it with these products, which achieve the purpose of the work of this symposium, which is the scientific connections.

– Encouraging researchers to exchange scientific visits between the two relevant centers (scientific centers), both inside and outside Iraq, in order to achieve the sustainability of scientific contacts.
