Under the supervision by prof. Dr. Alaa N. Jasim (the director of the center , the center of heritage revival organizes workshop entitled ( violence against woman in Iraqi society /legal study) , assist. Instructor Hind Amer fadhil (one of the center’s members ) presented a research entitled (lluminations in Understanding the Hadith “Deficient in Reason and Religion”) She spoke about the controversy surrounding the Hadith “Deficient in Reason and Religion” due to its misunderstanding as a diminution of women, while it is a description of a legal and biological reality. What is meant by deficiency in reason is the influence of emotion in some rulings, and by deficiency in religion, the omission of prayer and fasting during menstruation. The Hadith does not diminish the status of women, but rather shows complementary differences between the sexes according to Islamic law. Then, the researcher, M.M. Zainab Jamal Nowrouz, a lecturer at our center, gave a presentation entitled (The Impact of Iraqi Laws on Combating Violence Against Women). She introduced the Iraqi laws that contribute to combating violence against women by criminalizing some forms of violence, such as domestic violence. However, they face challenges in implementation and deterrence, despite the existence of articles in the law that punish abuse. However, the absence of a comprehensive law on domestic violence limits the full protection of victims. Human rights organizations are seeking to amend the laws and close loopholes to ensure greater protection for women. In conclusion, the director of the center thanked the two researchers, wishing them continued success in serving our university and our beloved Iraq.

Jasim (the director of the center) , the center of heritage revival in the university of Baghdad organizes seminar entitled ) the historical origin of Weather term) where sited in the Nabila A. Al-Munam hall in the center on 17th/3/2025. The lecture is presented by prof. Dr. Salar Ali Khudhir (the chief of the humanity studies department) who defined weather as a conditions over a short period of time, hours or days. It has become clear that this term is not Arabic, but rather has a Greek origin. It is linked to the Greek term isthmus, which refers to the origin of life or the four elements of life, which are earth, water, air, and fire. The reason for linking weather to isthmus is that weather and its atmospheric conditions are linked to the four elements of life. Earth in isthmus corresponds to place in weather, which is the space in which weather conditions occur. Water in isthmus corresponds to water vapor, atmospheric humidity, clouds, and rain in weather. Air in isthmus corresponds to winds and air masses in weather. He added that fire in isthmus corresponds to solar radiation and temperatures in weather. However, this topic needs additional studies to verify the historical origin of the term weather.
