According to the center’s activities , the center of heritage revival and scientific research that organized a awareness campaign on the dangers of drugs and how to avoid them that it organizes a workshop entitled (Youth drug addiction and ways to confront it) where sited  on Sunday 1st/12/2024 , it is presented by assist. Instructor Joman Adnan Hussein who talks about Drug addiction among young people is a serious phenomenon that affects the physical and psychological health of young people and negatively affects society as a whole. Addiction results from regular drug use, which leads to physical and psychological dependence on them and weakens the ability of young people to control their lives. Therefore, it is a complex problem that requires concerted efforts between the family, society and government institutions. Early awareness, psychological support and the provision of healthy alternatives can contribute effectively to preventing and combating addiction.

Under the supervision prof. Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim , the center of heritage organized seminar entitled (Bahaa Aldin Alamali and the importance of creation in Arabic math), the lecture is presented prof. Dr.Reyadh Saied Lateef who defined Bahaa Addin AlAmali (1621-1547) Lebanese-Iranian scholar and jurist whose full name is Sheikh Muhammad bin Hussein bin Abdul Samad Al-Harithi, he is famous for his writings and influence in several fields such as mathematics, physics, astronomy, philosophy, and poetry. He also played a role in developing Islamic education. The most important works presented by Baha’ al-Din al-Amili in the field of mathematics are contributions to arithmetic, geometry, and algebra. He worked on developing mathematical methods for calculating distances, dimensions, and areas. He also explained some mathematical issues that were common in his time and provided creative solutions to them, which helped improve scientific education methods. The lecturer added about his most prominent mathematical works “The Book of the Summary of Calculation”, which is considered one of the educational books in arithmetic and geometry. In this book, al-Amili presented arithmetic rules and geometric concepts, while clarifying the basic calculation methods that were adopted in the Islamic world. His style is characterized by accuracy and simplicity in explanation, with a tendency to use practical examples and exercises, which made it suitable for students and beginners in arithmetic and algebra. He also cared about building schools and supporting education and contributed to spreading sciences and knowledge. Encyclopedic scholars are considered Because of the diversity of his interests and the comprehensiveness of his knowledge, he combined religious and worldly sciences, making him a unique model of a multidisciplinary scholar who serves society in various fields

Under the supervision of the director of the center of heritage revival prof. Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim , the center organized a seminar entitled( types , characteristics  and specialization of Arabic proverbs)on Thursday 7th/11/2024 ,sited in the hall of the center, the lecture is presented by assist prof. Dr. Eman Salih Hadi (one of the center’s lecturers) who defined them as one of the Arabic arts  it is used to compare one situation to another, and the proverb in the language is the likeness and the similarity, and its striking is an expression of its rhythm and its explanation, and in speech it is to mention for a situation what suits it and resembles it and shows from its beauty or ugliness what was hidden, and since what is meant by it is to explain the situations, it was a story and a tale, and the word striking was chosen for it because it comes when wanting to influence and arouse emotion, as if the one striking the proverb is striking the ear of the listener with it, striking its effect to his heart, as for the terminology, Ibn al-Sikkit said: The proverb is a word that differs from the word for which it is struck and its meaning agrees with the meaning of that word. They likened it to the example that someone else works on, and there are many types of proverbs, including the Quranic proverb, classical Arabic proverbs, and colloquial proverbs, which are more widespread and used than the two previous types because they stick in the minds and are considered part of the popular heritage. Under the supervision by prof. Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim (the director of the center) the center of heritage revival in cooperation with presidency of the university of Baghdad Women’s Affairs bureaue, Ministry of Interior / Community Police , the center organizes workshop entitled (Electronic blackmail and its impact on Iraqi society), the lecturer is presented by engineer Hussein Amer Alrubie (the responsible of researches and studies unit /community police )who talked about The crime of electronic blackmail, which is considered a cybercrime, is a process of threatening and intimidating the victim by publishing pictures or film materials or leaking confidential information about the victim, in exchange for paying sums of money or exploiting the victim to carry out illegal acts for the benefit of the blackmailers, such as disclosing confidential information about the employer or other illegal acts. Al-Rubaie also mentioned the motives for committing the crime of electronic blackmail, including blackmail for material purposes, blackmail for sexual exploitation purposes, blackmail for personal or vengeful purposes, blackmail for the purpose of entertainment or to prove oneself and the ability to hack, and blackmail for the purpose of defamation practiced by parties against others. He also stressed the specifications of a good password, which must be long, consisting of at least (15) parts, and complex, including (letters, numbers, and symbols), and using a sentence instead of a single word.

He added that when you fall into the hands of the blackmailer, you must not communicate with the blackmailer at all, even if you are exposed to severe pressures. Do not send him money because he will not stop blackmailing you and will ask you repeatedly, to close all accounts and phone numbers that you provided to the blackmailer or that he knows about you, and to inform the competent authorities directly and provide them with the information and not be afraid or shy because it is possible that the blackmailer will be exposed. Start reporting with the community police via the hotline 497.  Under the supervision by prof. Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim (the director of the center , The center of heritage revival organizes workshop (the archeological heritage in In Shorjah Market, protecting authenticity and the challenges of modernity), on Monday 4th/11/2024 with presence by many professors and members of the center , the lecturer is present by prof. Dr. Saadi Ibraham Aldaraji (one of the retired professor of the center) who talked about The origin of the name “Shorjah” is that there was a bathhouse with a salty well in this market, so the bathhouse was known as (Shorjah), which is taken from the Persian language where (Shor) means salty and (Jah) means well, so it is (Shorjah). Over time, its name came to be given to its vicinity and even to a part of the Attarin Market itself, then the names overlapped and spread until the name Shorjah prevailed over the Attarin Market. The history of the name is mentioned in the records of the Turkish traveler (Evliya Çelebi) the names of some of Baghdad’s shops, among which he mentioned the Shorjah Market when he talked about the Caliphs’ Mosque. The traveler had visited Baghdad twice in the years 1648 and 1653 AD. The first endowment in which the name Shorjah was mentioned is the endowment of Hajj Muhammad bin Murad al-Baghdadi dated (1159 AH / 1746 AD). He endowed his descendants with a courtyard at the head of the Shorjah market. Al-Daraji added that the most important archaeological landmarks in Shorjah are the Marjan Mosque, a group of inns, old houses, the shrine of Ambassador Al-Nawbakhti, and the Latin Church…. Under the supervision by prof. Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim , the center of heritage revival organizes workshop in cooperation with Federal Integrity Commission entitled (Definition of the Integrity Penalties Law) on Tuesday 29th/10/2024 on the Nabila A. hall in the center with presence by many members and researchers , the session headed by assist. Prof. Dr. Rasha Essa Fares (one of the center’s members) to present the program  Within the anti-corruption program entitled (Introduction to the Integrity Penalties Law), the lecture was given by the respected legal advisor (Manaf Ahmed Shaalan), speaking about the work of the Integrity Commission in combating corruption and the penalties that result from that according to the Integrity Commission Law, represented by imprisonment, financial fines, dismissal from work, travel ban, and the mechanism for recovering funds in the event that the accused are convicted, as the law aims primarily to reduce levels of corruption and encourage reporting of corruption cases within procedures that provide protection for whistleblowers and enhance transparency in work. Assist. Prof. Dr. was an Hussein Muhaimeed (humanity sciences department) participated in the ninth scientific conference that hold by university of Tikrit /college of art through 21-22/10/2024 .Dr. was an Hussein presented a research  entitled (the moral dimension of tolerance in the thought of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and its impact on rejecting religious extremism)that deals with The sublime principles of Islam derived from the constitution of Muslims, the Holy Quran, in preserving the rights of non-Muslims who are called the People of the Covenant. The policy of the Noble Messenger Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) with them was an application of these principles in a way that achieves coexistence far from religious extremism that negatively affects the fabric of the single society. Since the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) is the city of knowledge and Imam Ali (peace be upon him) is its gate, who overflows with mercy, humanity and moral loftiness that overwhelms all his subjects, including the People of the Covenant, its research included paragraphs starting with Imam Ali’s (peace be upon him) view of the People of the Covenant, his relationship with their religious men, granting them freedom of belief and worship, his dealings with them, his justice and compassion towards them, and his standing with them before the judiciary, then his debates with the People of the Covenant, and the conversion of many of them to Islam at his hands. In conclusion, certificates and conference bags were distributed to the researchers and their hospitality, hoping for continued scientific communication with the professors of our Iraqi universities. Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Alaa Nafeh Jassim, Director of the Center, the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad organized a scientific workshop for the Department of Human Studies on Wednesday morning, October 16, 2024, at exactly eleven o’clock in the morning, in the hall of Professor Nabila Abdel Moneim Daoud, and in the presence of a number of professors and researchers. The session was chaired by Professor Dr. Salar Ali Khader to present the workshop entitled (Views on the Intellectual Project of Dr. Imad al-Din Khalil). The lecture was given by Professor Dr. Riyadh Saeed Latif, speaking about his civilizational project, which was distinguished by its focus on blending the Islamic vision with modern civilizational values ​​through reviving the Islamic identity in a contemporary perspective that combines modern civilizational values ​​and challenges and highlighting its ability to interact with the contemporary world. He stressed that Dr. Imad al-Din believed that the required reform in Islamic societies must be comprehensive, addressing political, social, economic and intellectual aspects. Through this project, he aimed to present a vision Comprehensive, based on Islam as a civilizing force that can be part of global solutions. In conclusion, the floor was opened for discussions and the workshop addressed the most important works of Dr. Imad Al-Din Khalil. Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim ( the director of the center) , the center of heritage revival organizes scientific symposium entitled (The science of tricks is an advantage of the pioneers of Islamic civilization in mechanical engineering.) on Wednesday 9/10/2024 where sited on the Nabila A. gallery , the first lecture is presented by instructor Dr. Thamer Salah Al-dulaimi /college of engineering /department of mechanical engineering who talks about the world of ticks(mechanics) and its beginning and its goals of innovation in addition to its effect on the various sides of life socially and intellectualy as well as its effect on filds of sciences arts and architecture ensures Muslim scientists  who have They are the ones who have a clear imprint and a great impact on the emergence, spread and development of this science and the benefit from these lessons that are important in building the principle of innovation and supporting innovators. The second lecture was given by Prof. Dr. Essam Mohamed Ali / Faculty of Engineering / Department of Mechanical Engineering, speaking about the Islamic civilization, has reached great horizons in various fields of engineering. These huge achievements must have been the result of the brilliant efforts of unique scientists who spent their lives and money in worship of God by seeking knowledge and teaching it to others and facilitating the means of life on earth with wonderful inventions. The history of Islamic civilization is replete with the names of hundreds, even thousands of scientists who succeeded in changing the face of life with the inventions and innovations they provided to humanity, from which all sciences and knowledge benefited, some of which are still used to this day, and which excelled in the sciences of engineering, astronomy, mathematics, and others. Some of the inventions and innovations provided by Muslim scientists who changed the face of life throughout the ages are (Muhammad, Ahmed, and Al-Hassan), the sons of Musa bin Shaker. A delegation from the al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine visits  center of revival heritage

A delegation from the al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine visited the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage on Sunday morning, 10/6/2024. The delegation was received by the Director of the Center, Prof. Dr. Alaa Nafeh Jassim, where the delegation was briefed on the center’s library and its provision of scientific books. He opened up prospects for cooperation with the shrine and the center to hold scientific seminars and workshops in the future and urged the workers to develop strategic plans for the importance of manuscripts and place them at the top of scientific interests. The delegation thanked the center’s work team for the hospitality and warm reception, and the director of the center thanked them for their presence and interest in heritage in the service of our university and our beloved Iraq.
