Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim , the center of heritage revival/ university of Baghdad in cooperation with college of engineering – ِAstronomy department organized workshop which titled (the role of women to limit of global warming)that where sited in the hall of the center on Wednesday 20th/3/2024 , the lecture is presented by dr. Najat M. Rasheed to know the global warming that produced About the retention of heat in the Earth’s atmosphere and the inability of it to penetrate the upper layers or outer space, which leads to a rise in temperatures, which in turn causes serious damage to life on the surface of the planet Earth, including damage to human health and living organisms of plants and animals. The reason for this occurrence is attributed to The phenomenon leads to an increase in the proportion of greenhouse gases (including water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, and ozone gas) in the Earth’s atmosphere. The role of women here to confront the phenomenon of global warming lies in educating family members in this regard and making them aware of how to preserve the environment to the limit. By increasing the proportion of these gases by reducing their proportions, we will discuss them in detail during the lecture

Organization workshop (manuscript )
Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Alaa Nafi Jassim, Director of the Center, the Manuscripts Department at the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage / University of Baghdad organized a discussion session on Wednesday morning, corresponding to 3/13/2024, in the presence of a number of professors and researchers, and in the hall of Professor Nabila Abdel Moneim, a discussion panel entitled (The Manuscripts That The study and analysis of horology among the Arabs was discussed (the lecture was given by Prof. Dr. Issam Muhammad Ali, a lecturer at the University of Baghdad / College of Engineering, speaking. Muslims had a major role in the invention of the hourglass and the water clock, because time was of special importance to them, due to their need to know the times of prayer and the call to prayer, and the times of fasting, holidays, and Hajj. The matter began. In the past, with the simple water clock that was used in Egypt before 1500 BC. It consisted of a cylindrical bowl with sections to measure the amount of water coming down from a small gutter at the bottom. As for the complex water clocks, their story began in the thirteenth century, with a genius man called Ismail bin al-Razzaz al-Jazari, from Diyarbakir in southeastern Turkey. He was a pious Muslim and a brilliant engineer, and by the year 1206 AD, al-Jazari had designed and manufactured many clocks of various types. Shapes and sizes. He wrote a book on mechanical engineering entitled “Combining Science and Useful Work in the Making of Tricks,” in which he described fifty automatic devices distributed into six categories, including water clocks. Arab innovations in horology appeared at an early age. In the year (192 AH = 807 AD), Harun al-Rashid (d. 193 AH) presented a complex minute watch to Charlemagne (d. 814 AD), King of the Franks. Just as Abbas bin Firnas (d. 274 AH) created a clock he called “The Miqat,” which he presented to Prince Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman in the middle of the third century AH, and accompanied it with poetic verses describing the importance of his invention and its benefits.
Organization workshop (slums)
on the occasion of the celebration of National Afforestation Day, which is held on March 12 of each year, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Alaa Nafi Jassim, the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage / University of Baghdad organized on Tuesday morning, 3/12/2024, where Dr. Liqa Shaker Al-Sharifi participated in the scientific workshop held. On the sidelines of this event, a research paper was published entitled (Slums and their Impact on Vegetation Cover in Baghdad). The paper dealt with the subject of slums and residential encroachments in Baghdad, a phenomenon that has become clearly widespread through encroachment on green spaces and parks that serve as a natural outlet for areas and neighborhoods. Residential areas in Baghdad, in addition to the dependence of some slum dwellers on the profession of animal husbandry and grazing. The paper included the basic importance of vegetation in combating desertification, as well as aesthetics. Then, Dr. Rasha Issa Fares’ research (The Importance of Agriculture in Heritage), in which the doctor spoke about its overview. A history of the importance of agriculture in human life since time immemorial, a memory of the role of agriculture in heritage, where researchers in the history of civilization classified human involvement in agriculture as one of the most dangerous revolutions in the development of human life, as agriculture led to caring for plants and distinguishing what is harmful from what is beneficial, and it emerged There were many scientists who played a prominent and effective role in paying attention to this aspect, so many works on botany appeared, and they were divided into: 1_ agricultural and botanical works 2_ works originally linguistic but containing botanical vocabulary 3_ works originally about travel and including mention of many plants that grow In the countries visited by the traveler, the author 4- Medical works, if issues related to plants were taken from them, they would become independent books. 5- Historical and literary works that contain many botanical and agricultural terms. All of these works are a link to link the past with the present and enrich civilization with scientific aspects.

Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Alaa Nafi Jassim, Director of the Center, the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage / University of Baghdad organized on Sunday morning, corresponding to 3/10/2024, and in the presence of a number of the Center’s employees, a workshop entitled (Combat Administrative Corruption) to lecture M. M. Hana Ali Ibrahim, lecturer at the Presidency of the University of Baghdad / Department of Legal Affairs. Knowing administrative corruption is an apparent sin that ravages the body of society. It is the misuse of public office to achieve private gain, which is a deviation in behavior such as bribery, theft, and wasting money. Then I mentioned the types of corruption, including moral corruption and administrative corruption. And financial corruption, and others, as it referred to the causes of corruption, including the spread of poverty and ignorance, lack of knowledge of individual rights, weak regulatory bodies, low salaries for employees, and personal reasons. Then it added ways to combat corruption, which are simplifying work procedures, conducting periodic transfers between employees, and adopting standards of competence and experience in dividing jobs. In conclusion, the director of the center thanked the lecturer and wished her continued success..
workshop entitled ( artificial intelligent and heritage)
Supervised by prof. Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim (the director of the center) , the center organized workshop entitled ( artificial intelligent and heritage) , it is presented by prof. Dr. Reyadh Saied Lateef with number of professors where sited on the gallery of the center on Thursday 7th/3/2024 , who he presented a lecture entitled ( the artificial intelligence and his relations with heritage sciences in popular and manuscript in special) , The researcher reviewed the definitions of artificial intelligence and manuscript science that belong to the heritage sciences. Then he reviewed the types of artificial intelligence, its basics, and important definitions related to the subject, such as: algorithms, machine language, machine learning, and deep learning. Then he reviewed the most prominent applications of intelligence related to manuscript science, which help The researcher and investigator in his scientific and artistic work, then concluded that this science has become necessary for our scientific and academic life because it invades all aspects of life. He stressed the necessity of pursuing this science because what was presented in the workshop is nothing more than a simple introduction to this science
Organization symposium
Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Alaa Nafi Jassim, Director of the Center, the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage / University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, organized on Wednesday morning, corresponding to 3/6/2024, in the hall of Professor Nabila, and in the presence of a number of professors and researchers, a scientific symposium entitled (Sustainable Development of Heritage and Management Archaeological Sites in Iraq) The symposium was opened with a fragrant recitation of the Holy Quran and then the reading of Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs of Iraq. The first research by Dr. Liqaa Shaker Khattar, teaching at our center, and the title of her research is (Urban Heritage in Baghdad and Obstacles to Tourism), speaking about the urban heritage in Baghdad. Because of its importance as an economic and tourism resource, which is the basis for developing the local community and preserving the urban culture in Iraq, efforts must be intensified at all levels to advance Baghdad’s urban, cultural and civilizational heritage. Dr. Imtithal Kazem Sarhan’s teaching lecture was given at our center and the title of her research was (Sustainable development is one of the means of preserving heritage), speaking that the sustainable environment is one of the new terms that we work with to preserve heritage buildings, whether the heritage is material or intangible. She also added that the sustainable environment is the preservation and perpetuation of heritage and archaeological sites for future generations, meaning that it is the responsibility of The responsibility falls on the government and civil society organizations to develop solutions and remedies to preserve this heritage. In conclusion, the director of the center thanked the lecturers, wishing them continued success.

Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim (the director of the center) , the center organized seminar entitled ( engineering pioneers in Baghdad Zaha Hadeed as sample) where held in gallery of the center on Tuesday 27th/2/2024 with present by number of professors , it is presented by Dr. Leqaa Shaker Khattar (one of the center’s members) who sheds light on the biography and the life of Zaha Hadeed as she is the daughter of political and economical character as well as shewho achieved wide fa is one of the prominence character in Iraq according to her achievements in architecture and achieved Widespread fame , Her innovative designs and experimental methods received great international attention, and she was the first Iraqi woman to win the Pritzker Prize for Architecture

Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim (the director of the center) , the center organized seminar entitled (Ishaq BinIbraham Almously and his impact on heritage where held in the hall of Nabila A. Al-Munam Dawood in the center on Monmday 4/3/2024 , the seminar presented by Dr. Rasha Essa Fares (one of the center’s members) who talked about his name ,origin and the first beginning to learn prominence professors who learned by them like Haitham bin Bashir Al-Kasai, and then pointed to the most important sciences that were unique to him other than music and singing, represented by the science of history, literature, religious sciences, and theology, and then music and singing, which influenced the cultural aspect in that historical era, and it is no secret that his family had a prominent and effective impact, being He belongs to a family that was known and famous for music and specialized in playing the oud, and thus it became the basis for him in developing his intellectual and artistic skills in a way that serves civilization in the artistic and creative aspects of that time period

Alsalam Raoof where sited in the hall of relations office on Tuesday 5th/2/2024 , the ceremony has opened with Alfatiha surat of holy Quran then presented an essay of the manager of office prof. Dr. Alaa Abu Alhasan Alalaq who welcome guests and mentioned the most important scientific achievements as works ,manuscripts as well as he mentioned his morality by helping others followed that an essay by prof. Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim (the director of the center) who talked that Dr. Emad is a Iraqi historian sheikh who has more ancient scientific researches and he specializes in connection between faithful towards Islamic and national principles and faithful towards scientific curriculum in writing history so she mentioned that he had chosen Dr.Emad Abdusalam to be the director of the center of heritage revival in 1982 in addition to mention his scientific Scientific career, finally , the center had honored by giving appreciation certificates and creative shield to his wife (Dr. Barween and his son ) to appreciate his scientific career.
