A delegation of the center of heritage revival in the university of Baghdad presidency by prof. Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim (the director of the center)with members of professors and employees visited Al-Kufa mosque on Wednesday 5th/2/2025 , they received them ateam of (public relations department) acted by Mr. Nabeel Hameed Taha and Mr. Zaher AlAbdali / The General Secretariat of the Mosque to explore the oldest Islamic and heritage landmarks in the mosque and the efforts made to preserve the heritage collections. The delegation also viewed the most important manuscripts in the mosque, where they learned about the mechanism of preservation and restoration of these manuscripts. The two sides also discussed ways of joint cooperation by holding seminars and workshops to document this great legacy. In conclusion, the Director of the Center thanked the Relations Department for the warm reception and hospitality, and the Shield of Excellence was presented, wishing the mosque’s administrators continued success.

Under the supervision by prof. Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim (thje director of the center)/ documentation department in the center of heritage revival /university of Baghdad on Wednesday 5th/2/2025 with presence of researchers and professors the center held scientific symposium entitled (the role of artificial intelligence in serving heritage)  where sited on the hall of the center The session was chaired by Dr. Liqa Amer Ashour, where the first lecture was given by Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Alaa Hussein Al-Tamimi, Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering, University of Baghdad, and the title of his research entitled (The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Reviving World Heritage), speaking about the concept of intelligence in digitizing various sectors in preserving world heritage from the natural factors of time, neglect and illegal trafficking of antiquities in introducing artificial intelligence systems to these challenges in rebuilding archaeological sites and restoring works of art. Al-Tamimi stressed the importance of identifying stolen artifacts and future applications in tourism antiquities programs and reviving historical monuments. The next lecture was given by Assistant Professor Dr. Imtithal Kazem Sarhan, a lecturer from our center, and the title of her research entitled (The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Preserving Cultural Heritage and How to Develop It in the Future), knowing that intelligence is one of the most important technological applications in the modern era, which is based on applying specific programs in the service of modern civilization, including heritage in all its forms. The researcher added that artificial intelligence enters into the field of management efficiency, preserving cultural heritage, predicting information and sustainable development. Then the lecture was also given by Assistant Professor Dr. Khamail Shaker Al-Jamali, College of Islamic Sciences, University of Baghdad, and the title of her research entitled (Employing Artificial Intelligence in Preserving Cultural Heritage) spoke about the advancement of digital technologies and their vital role in ensuring the longevity of our shared cultural heritage and the possibility of accessing it by taking advantage of the intricate details of artworks and artifacts. These artifacts are not only treasures, but they are valuable historical records that provide insight into different societies and cultures. Al-Jamali emphasized the interest in the legacy by future generations to learn from the richness of human history and appreciate its wealth. The lecture was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Asmaa Hamid Rashid – Department of Engineering at Al-Nahrain University – The title of her research is (Artificial Intelligence and its Role in Preserving Our Ancient Heritage). Knowing that intelligence is a revolution based on information technology that is used in many different aspects of life, this broad science (A.I.) has been used to preserve our ancient heritage in its various aspects, including preserving the linguistic and cultural heritage of our civilization, restoring antiquities, determining the three-dimensional visualization of damaged antiquities and sites, determining high-resolution maps for archaeological excavations, and the lecturer also emphasized finding fraud and forgery and identifying them in the reality of antiquities and attributing them to their original source. In conclusion, the director of the center thanked the lecturers, wishing them continued success and success in serving our university and our beloved Iraq.

The center of heritage revival organizes seminar entitled (the project of historical museum in Arabic medicine) where sited in the hall of Nabila A. Dawood in the center that is on Tuesday 21st/1/2025 , the lecture is presented by prof. Dr. Alaa Nafea jasim who talks about the profect that aims to the need of the center of heritage revival to heritage museum where appears the development of Arabic medicine equals with other  heritage institutes in the world This project was created by the late physician, Professor Adel Mohammed Al-Bakri, in 1986 and was considered one of the important projects at that time, with the aim of displaying the aspects of scientific progress among the Arabs and the prosperity of Arab medicine in the era of Arab civilization, and to be a center for scientific research for those interested in Arab medical heritage and the history of science in general, especially medical and pharmacy students and orientalists. This reflects the image of the activity of the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage during the years since its establishment and highlights its effectiveness in the form of continuous achievement and not in a seasonal manner such as seminars and lectures. She also confirmed Al-Bakri’s statement that this project needs a building and employees in addition to furniture and glass cabinets to maintain the exhibits and to direct an appeal in newspapers and on television to scientific bodies and citizens who have old medical tools such as glass or copper utensils or old machines that were used in the medical field and to arrange them according to their use in diseases and to buy what they can buy of these equipment, knowing that most of them are found in old homes.

A delegation from the General Secretariat of the Great Mosque of Kufa visited our center on Wednesday morning, 15/1/2025. The delegation was received by Professor Dr. Alaa Nafeh Jassim, Director of the Center, where the delegation was briefed on the scientific work of the center and opened up prospects for joint scientific cooperation between the center and the mosque in holding seminars, conferences and workshops. At the end of the visit, the delegation thanked the center’s management and presented him with a painting of Muslim bin Aqeel, peace be upon him, wishing him continued success and permanent success in serving our ancient heritage

The center of heritage revival in cooperation with women affairs unit organizes scientific symposium entitled ( the effect of divorce on Family disintegration( , where sited in the Nabila A. Dawood hall in the center on Monday 30th/12/2024 . the symposium enriched with scientific researches as one of  Research by Ms. Maha Essam Abdel in her research paper (The Problem of Divorce: A Problem of the Age and a Phenomenon that Threatens the Social Fabric), the second research by Dr. Intisar Ahmed, entitled (Marriage and Divorce among the People of Mesopotamia), and the research by Ms. Ahmed Farhan Jassim, entitled (The Effect of Divorce on the Child’s Upbringing), and the research by Ms. Anas Ahmed Al-Mashhadani and the title of his research (Types of divorce and forms of separation in Islam) and many researches that participated in the symposium, where the symposium aimed to show that divorce and separation of the mother and father affect the entire family, especially children, as Islam approved divorce and permitted it, but it is disliked and if the Hammurabi Code indicated from the legal articles the formula for marriage and divorce and engagement ceremonies and dowry and marital rights in full, divorce also greatly affects men and women and causes psychological and social pressures. The symposium recommended the establishment of laws and procedures that limit this phenomenon and activate and invigorate the role of the social researcher and the necessity of awareness by parents to observe the correct controls in the marriage of their children and activate laws that prevent marriage and divorce outside the court and hold seminars, workshops and awareness discussion groups that urge the importance of married life and forming a family. The symposium included several interventions and participations by the lecturers and at the end, certificates of appreciation were distributed to the researchers We wish them continued success in serving our distinguished university and our beloved Iraq.

The center of heritage revival organizes seminar entitled (the scientific role of Al-Ahmadiya mosque and school) in the hall of Nabila A. Munam in the center on Monday 16th/12/2024 , the lecture is presented by Dr.Leqaa Amer Ashutr (one of the center members) who talks about the importance of historical mosque in Baghdad, which dates back to the Ottoman period,where is located on the side of Al-Rusafa, near the Al-Maidan , and is also known as the Al-Maidan Mosque. The Ottoman governor of Baghdad, Ahmed Pasha, who was the deputy of the governor, Suleiman Pasha the Great, ordered its construction. Ahmed Pasha commissioned the most skilled architects and masters to build it during his lifetime, but he did not witness its opening on an area of ​​2,600 square meters. His brother Abdullah Bey completed the mosque’s construction about a year later (1796 AD). A two-storey school was attached to it, as well as a library containing rare books and manuscripts. The school continued to provide its scientific services until the mid-fifties of the twentieth century. The most famous scholars in Baghdad studied and graduated from it, including Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Ahmed Al-Shawwaf (d. 1851 AD), Sheikh Ghulam Rasool Al-Hindi (d. 1912 AD), Yahya Al-Watri (d. 1923 AD), Sheikh Abdul Wahhab Al-Naib (d. 1926 AD), and Munir Al-Watari (d. 1947 AD). It was renewed several times, and the first to renew it was the eight governor, Dawoud Pasha, in the year (1893 AD). Its renewal continued for five years and was completed in the year (1976 AD). The last renewal was carried out by the Sunni Endowment in the year (2010 AD)

The center of heritage revival organizes seminar entitled ( Assyrian art photography on walls ) on the hall of Nabila A. Dawood in the center on Tuesday 17th/12/2024 , the lecture is presented by assist. Instructor. Melad Mohammad Yassin (one of the center’s members) who talks about the walls art in modern Assyrian time . The character of Assyrian mural art began to become independent and distinct since the Middle Assyrian era in different styles and methods, especially in the affairs of the state and the works of kings. As for religious subjects, it preserved the ancient monuments and Assyrian art took its final character in the modern Assyrian era, as it was dominated by the representation of scenes of war, hunting and royal affairs, which decorated the palaces of kings, such as the siege of cities, the destruction of fortresses, the market of prisoners and the representation of them. Assyrian art was famous for its relief sculpture more than its three-dimensional sculpture, and the importance of those drawings that were used to decorate the walls of temples and their effect on enemies was demonstrated..

Sponsored by prof. Dr.Alaa Nafea Jasim , the center of heritage revival organized workshop entitled (the educational organizations and its effect on Combating extremism( on Wednesday 11th/12/2024 on the hall of the center , it is presented by Mr. Saif Sabri Qasim (the person who is responsible of the unit of training and development in the strategy center/social police department /ministry of interior who talks about Extremism, its most prominent causes and negative effects, and ways to achieve intellectual security to reduce it. The sources of feeding these ideas, methods of prevention, and the roles played by governmental and non-governmental institutions were also explained. The discussions focused on the role of educational institutions in this field in terms of protecting students from extremism by formulating an educational discourse aimed at building and developing intellectual security and enhancing the values ​​of citizenship and national and cultural identity with the aim of participating in sustainable peace, promoting moderation, acceptance of others, rejecting fanaticism and extremism in all its forms, and providing the student with the opportunity to participate in rational dialogue and correct intellectual distortion with argument and persuasion. The library of revival of Arabian science heritage visited Dr. Ahmad Alhasnawy (the chief of manuscript in Iraqi scientific collective  on Thursday 28th/11/2024 , His visit was to present a map of the world of Al-Idrisi as a gift to the center’s library. This is part of the cooperation mechanism between our center and the Iraqi Scientific Academy.
