Under the supervision by prof. Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim , the center organizes workshop entitled ( the famous Arabs and their effect in Arabic Renaissance era , the lecture is presented by prof. Dr. nadia Gathban Mohammad (one of the lecturers in Iraqi scientific collective ) The researcher discussed the Renaissance from a linguistic, historical and philosophical perspective since its inception in Europe and the extension of its impact to Arab countries due to the European occupation. She then talked about the most important representations of this Renaissance in Iraq, its fields and the influential names that contributed to shaping the map of cultural, political, social and artistic awareness. She also showed that the Renaissance is a continuous state between the past and the present because it is linked to the way of thinking. This does not mean that critical thinking should not be practiced on it, but rather it is a necessity to review to measure its impact, especially in what was produced by newspapers and magazines that dealt with the daily life of Iraqi society and its situation with the establishment of the concept of the modern state. The researcher touched on the importance of institutions in supporting the intellectual renaissance in Iraq. Among the most prominent of these institutions is the Scientific Institute founded by Thabet Abdel Nour in the 1920s and the Iraqi Scientific Academy, which included great names, some of whom are involved between the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage and the Academy, such as Dr. Taha Baqir, who founded an Iraqi archaeological school with its own features, and Professor Dr. Saleh Ahmed Al-Ali, who established a method for reading Arab history. She touched on the legal renaissance at the hands of the head of the Iraqi Scientific Academy, Professor Munir Al-Qadi, and his impact on the formulation of civil law in Iraq. As for the field of artistic renewal, we find Jawad Salim, who was able to draw inspiration from what is historical and local to bring it to the global scene. The center of heritage revival organizes seminar (Dust phenomena in heritage sources)

Under the supervision of prof. Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim (the director of the center) , the center of heritage revival organizes seminar entitled (Dust phenomena in heritage sources(on Tuesday 19^th/11/2024 in the hall of Nabila A. Munam Dawood in the center , the lecture is presented by assist. Instructor Wasan Abdul Wahab (one of the center’s members) who talks about Arab who they classified dust into two types natural and human, as it appeared when delving into the study of dust in the Arabic language, in the Holy Quran, in their poetry, and in the historical events that they went through. This was done by following the chronological sequence of them, where they found that dust appears in different colors, including black, yellow, red, and green. They linked dust to drought, and mentioned the successive dust with rain that works to remove dust from agricultural crops in the winter. They linked dust to poverty. The dust storm contributes to uprooting trees and destroying agricultural crops, which then leads to people migrating to more beneficial places. They linked dust to rising prices and high prices

Under the supervision by prof. Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim (the director of the center) the center of heritage revival in cooperation with presidency of the university of Baghdad Women’s Affairs bureaue, Ministry of Interior / Community Police , the center organizes workshop entitled (Electronic blackmail and its impact on Iraqi society), the lecturer is presented by engineer Hussein Amer Alrubie (the responsible of researches and studies unit /community police )who talked about The crime of electronic blackmail, which is considered a cybercrime, is a process of threatening and intimidating the victim by publishing pictures or film materials or leaking confidential information about the victim, in exchange for paying sums of money or exploiting the victim to carry out illegal acts for the benefit of the blackmailers, such as disclosing confidential information about the employer or other illegal acts. Al-Rubaie also mentioned the motives for committing the crime of electronic blackmail, including blackmail for material purposes, blackmail for sexual exploitation purposes, blackmail for personal or vengeful purposes, blackmail for the purpose of entertainment or to prove oneself and the ability to hack, and blackmail for the purpose of defamation practiced by parties against others. He also stressed the specifications of a good password, which must be long, consisting of at least (15) parts, and complex, including (letters, numbers, and symbols), and using a sentence instead of a single word.

He added that when you fall into the hands of the blackmailer, you must not communicate with the blackmailer at all, even if you are exposed to severe pressures. Do not send him money because he will not stop blackmailing you and will ask you repeatedly, to close all accounts and phone numbers that you provided to the blackmailer or that he knows about you, and to inform the competent authorities directly and provide them with the information and not be afraid or shy because it is possible that the blackmailer will be exposed.  Under the supervision by prof. Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim (the director of the center , The center of heritage revival organizes workshop (the archeological heritage in In Shorjah Market, protecting authenticity and the challenges of modernity), on Monday 4^th/11/2024 with presence by many professors and members of the center , the lecturer is present by prof. Dr. Saadi Ibraham Aldaraji (one of the retired professor of the center) who talked about The origin of the name “Shorjah” is that there was a bathhouse with a salty well in this market, so the bathhouse was known as (Shorjah), which is taken from the Persian language where (Shor) means salty and (Jah) means well, so it is (Shorjah). Over time, its name came to be given to its vicinity and even to a part of the Attarin Market itself, then the names overlapped and spread until the name Shorjah prevailed over the Attarin Market. The history of the name is mentioned in the records of the Turkish traveler (Evliya Çelebi) the names of some of Baghdad’s shops, among which he mentioned the Shorjah Market when he talked about the Caliphs’ Mosque. The traveler had visited Baghdad twice in the years 1648 and 1653 AD. The first endowment in which the name Shorjah was mentioned is the endowment of Hajj Muhammad bin Murad al-Baghdadi dated (1159 AH / 1746 AD). He endowed his descendants with a courtyard at the head of the Shorjah market. Al-Daraji added that the most important archaeological landmarks in Shorjah are the Marjan Mosque, a group of inns, old houses, the shrine of Ambassador Al-Nawbakhti, and the Latin Church…. Prof. Dr. Wijdan Fareeq Enad /humanity sciences department) participated in  the first national specialist scientific conference entitled (Social responsibility of the academic institution in sustainable development and community advancement) that Held under the patronage of  the ministry of higher education and scientific research supervised by holy Hussein shrine / university of Warith Alanbyaa in cooperation with university of Kufa through a period from 23-24/10/2024 , the researcher presented a research entitled  The role of Iraqi universities in promoting the culture of sustainable development) speaking about the historical roots of the term sustainable development and the role of universities in teaching its culture and the necessity of instilling its concepts in the minds of students and society. In conclusion, certificates were distributed by the respected advisor, Professor Dr. Riyadh Al-Moussawi Abu Saeeda, in appreciation of the efforts, wishing the researchers continued success in serving the scientific process, our venerable university, and our beloved Iraq

The Center for the Revival of Heritage organizes an awareness lecture Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Alaa Nafeh Jassim, Director of the Center, the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad organized on Monday morning, October 21, 2024, at exactly ten o’clock in the morning, in the hall of Professor Nabila Abdel Moneim Daoud, and in the presence of a number of lecturers and affiliates of the center. The session was chaired by Dr. Liqa Shaker Khattar, a lecturer from our center, to present the lecture curriculum, which included (the awareness program for the month of October for breast cancer). The lecture was given by Dr. Yasser Jamal Al-Badri / Oncology Teaching Hospital in the City of Medicine, speaking about breast cancer, which is a disease in which abnormal cells grow out of control and form tumors. If left untreated, these tumors can spread throughout the body, and it is the most common type of cancer. The most important basic factors for its emergence and methods of treatment in terms of spreading awareness and prevention of this disease through early detection and urging it by the media and health teams in hospitals and awareness centers and providing an integrated service to combat breast cancer. Al-Badri added the necessity of adhering to preventive advice before this disease occurs or avoiding it by maintaining a healthy weight as obesity increases the risk of infection, eating healthy foods rich in vegetables and fruits, as well as maintaining physical activity and exercising regularly, and refraining from smoking and inhaling other people’s smoke. In conclusion, she opened the door for discussion and asking questions to the lecturer to avoid such cases in the future. The director of the center thanked the lecturer for publishing such topics at the present time due to the high incidence of this disease. We hope from God a speedy recovery for those infected with it.
