Department of Pure Sciences
The Department of Pure Sciences was established in 1977 and is concerned with scientific fields such as natural sciences, medicine, engineering and physics, chemistry, mechanics, agriculture and nutrition, within the limits of what is related to the Arab-Islamic heritage, as well as the first pure sciences such as philosophy, education and others, and it is thus interested in linking contemporary pure sciences with pure sciences in the Arab scientific heritage and knowing the extent to which it is possible to benefit from the scientific heritage in our contemporary sciences. The center includes a number of teachers known for their scientific experience, and of various scientific ranks, including:
As for the department’s programs and projects, they include:
1- Writing academic research in the various specialized fields that each member of the department is concerned with, according to his specialization and interests.
2- Giving internal lectures, whether at the level of education or the level of the center.
3- Providing advice and research proposals related to heritage, according to what each project submits
4- Participation in scientific conferences and seminars held inside and outside Iraq.
5- Participation in scientific activities abroad and cooperation with the corresponding centers and research in those in which the center had cooperation
