The Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage / University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the Department of Research and Studies / Diwan of the Shiite Endowment, organized on Monday morning, 2/26/2024, and in the presence of a number of professors and researchers, the scientific symposium entitled (The Architecture of the Domes in the Holy Kadhimiyah Presence and its Decorations), presented by Dr. Imtithal Kazem Sarhan, a lecturer at the Heritage Revival Center, whose research title is (The Domes of Imam Kadhim, peace be upon him, a renewed heritage), is a speaker. The domes of Imam Kadhim, peace be upon him, are among the most important domes in the Islamic world, as they contain under them the remains of Imam Kadhim, peace be upon him, and his grandson, Imam Al-Jawad, peace be upon him. It is one of the most important subterranean domes of the shrine, and it has gone through several stages of restoration since its construction in the year 729 AH during the reign of Aws al-Jalayri, which was the year 925 AH. It is a restoration process that was carried out under the supervision of specialists from the Kadhimiya holy shrine, engineers, and experts in Islamic architecture. Then, Dr. Najat Ali Muhammad Al-Tamimi from the College of Islamic Sciences, University of Baghdad / Pastor of Civilization, researched the title of her research entitled (Planning and Architecture of the Shrine of Al-Kazimin, peace be upon them), speaking that the first person to populate the tomb was in the time of the Buyids. Mu’izz al-Dawla 336 AH after the occupation of Baghdad. Two teak domes were placed and a wall or fence was built around them. Renovations to the shrine continued until the Seljuk rule During the reign of Sharaf al-Dawla, 466 AH

The shrine was damaged as a result of the flood of the Tigris River The shrine was reconstructed, two minarets and a dome were added to it and decorated with mosaics  During the reign of Al-Nasir Lidin Allah, 575 AH He built the corridors surrounding the shrine and renovated the minarets, as well as making rooms for visitors In the time of Al-Zahir, 622 AH The wooden domes burned So he began building it out of bricks and plaster After him, Al-Mustansir worked to complete the renovations, in addition to making a wooden box It is now displayed in the Iraq Museum

Under supervision of prpf. Dr. Alaa Nzfea Jasim , the center of heritage revival organizes seminar entitled (religion in Islamic prospection) , where held on Sunday 26th/2/2024 this lecture is presented by prof. Dr. Anas Esam Ismaiel who talked about he debt is divided into types: deferred, temporary, and soft, and each one of them has a system. The deferred has a date for payment. It is not permissible to delay it, whatever the reasons. Likewise, the temporary must pay according to the timings fixed in the debt contract. As for the soft, there is a widespread misunderstanding, which is soft, according to the debtor’s understanding. The basic principle is that someone who is well-off is someone who is able to afford food, drink, rent for a house, treatment, and other necessary things, and it is not permissible for him to brag about it until he pays his debt.

According to cooperation between the center of heritage revival and college of engineering in the university of Baghdad , on Sunday 25th/2/2024 , the meeting has hold about Remanufacturing some mechanical instruments according to what was stated in the book Al-Hail by Ibn Al-Jazari. The meeting resulted in determining the direct sundial to work with according to traditional data, and from God, success.

Dr.Leqaa Alsharifi(one of the  members  of the center of Arabian scientific revival heritage / university of Baghdad ) participated in workshop entitled (Enhance  the role of woman in political parties) in the women’s studies center on Thursday 22nd/2/2024 by presenting a research entitled (the active party of Iraqi woman -Laila as sample) who talks about the active party of women in twentieth stage in the last century that is Laila magazine, which discussed the political, economic and social conditions of Iraqi women throughout history. Al-Sharifi added the necessity of political education for women in order for the political process to succeed, and she emphasized the issuance of a cultural guide highlighting the most important Iraqi pioneering women in all fields.

Participation in scientific conference

Dr. Leqaa Shaker Al-sharifi (one of the center’s members ) participated in the sixth international scientific conference for social sciences in Turkey by using Zoom application presents a research entitled (Muslims situation in the first Japanese – Chinese war /general zoobao kue as sample)  he research dealt with an important stage in the history of Chinese Muslims and the marginalization they were subjected to in all political, economic, social and cultural aspects, as well as the confiscation of religious freedoms and racial and national discrimination during the rule of successive authorities in China. Despite attempts to erase the identity of Chinese Muslims, they have not forgotten their role. National: After the outbreak of the First Sino-Japanese War in 1895 AD, the Muslims of China participated alongside their brothers in the war under the leadership of the Muslim general of the Hui Nationality (Zu Bao Kui). This general led a battalion of Muslims to defend China’s privileges in Korea and continued to fight and defend. From Chinese lands until he fell as a martyr from his wounds in an unequal battle in favor of Japan, which demonstrates the patriotic spirit enjoyed by the Muslims of China despite the injustice and persecution they have been exposed to throughout history.

As a scientific and humanitarian initiative, a delegation from the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad headed by Prof. Dr. Alaa Nafi Jassim, (Director of the Center), and the membership of a number of professors and administrators, visited  Al-Rahma Home for the Elderly on Monday, 2nd /19/2024, The delegation had received  by the director of the home and a number of resident doctors.The two parties agreed to hold scientific activities, and at the end of the visit, Many gifts were distributed to the elderly, wishing them good health and wellness.

Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim (the director of the Arabic scientific revival heritage center visited  center of Alkhadimiya revival heritage / The General Secretariat of the Holy Kadhimiya Shrine on Monday 19th/2/2024 , the delegation had received  by dr.Emad Alkadhumy .They discussed ways to open horizons for joint scientific cooperation in holding seminars and conferences. Then the delegation reviewed some manuscripts at the center. In conclusion, the director of the center thanked the delegation, wishing it continued success.

Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim (the director of the center) in the university of Baghdad organizes seminar slaves in the book “Maraat al-Zaman fi Tarikh al-Ayan” by Sibt ibn al-Jawzi 654 AH/1256 AD) on Monday 19/2/2024 The seminar is presented by Dr. Zainab Thari Hussein (one of the center’s members) who talked about The roles played by slaves in the Abbasid era were influential, especially their control over the Abbasid caliphs, and among the types of female slaves and what they were called and the qualities and qualifications they were able to It can be arrived to  power judge, among them Al-Khayzaran , the wife of Caliph Al-Mahdi and the mother of Caliph Al-Hadi, Caliph Harun Al-Rashid, and another slave girl called Uqbaiha who married Caliph Al-Mutawakkil and gave birth son of Al-Mu’tazz and became the mistress of the Abbasid court in Samarra and other female slaves.

under the supervision of Professor Dr. Alaa Nafi Jassim, Director of the Center, the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad on Wednesday morning, corresponding to February 14, 2024, and in the hall of Professor Nabila Abdel Moneim in our center, organized a workshop entitled (Side effects of medical drugs between heritage and modernity) A.M.D. delivered Muhammad Abdul Hassan Jabara, Director of the University Health Division at the University of Baghdad, speaking about modern medical drugs and alternative medicine and how to use these drugs in the correct manner and with the regularity prescribed by the doctor. Jabara added that medicines are dangerous when used incorrectly and may lead to death, mentioning the most important chronic diseases such as Blood pressure, diabetes, and endocrine diseases in general. Medications for these diseases must be used correctly. He stressed that nutrition is half the treatment, and exercise and stimulating blood circulation help to have a healthy structure free of diseases. Then, Professor Dr. Zainab Kamel Karim’s teaching lecture at our center, and the title of her lecture is Archeology. (Side effects of some poison medications according to Muslim doctors / Al-Mansouri’s book on medicine) Knowledge A drug and medicine is a healing substance that is extracted from a natural source, such as plants and animals, such as microorganisms, insects, marine organisms, and mammals. Among the drugs are what is extracted from mountain rocks, such as salts and gold salts. The drug in its natural form may be unpalatable, and its concentration within the plant may vary. From time to time, according to the climatic conditions that affect the plant, therefore, drugs are manufactured in a form acceptable to the patient through the pharmaceutical preparation, and therefore the medicine is composed of one or more drugs. Arab doctors mentioned many single and combined medicines, their benefits, uses, and methods of preparation. Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim (the director of the center of Arab scientific heritage revival) in the university of Baghdad organizes seminar entitled (Qazwini and his book, The Wonders of Creatures and the Oddities of Existences) , the seminar is presented by prof. Dr. Zainab Kamel Kareem (one of the center’s members) who talked about Muslims were interested in writing on many topics, and what sparked this study was our observation that there were many books that were written on the strange and strange, including news, events, and interesting things. The topic of the strange is one of the rich topics in the Islamic heritage since the first periods of writing, but the term took on clarity and prominence in the stages. Advanced writing in Islamic history.Based on this idea, the research attempted to identify this type of writing, and to monitor the most important of the thousand and one books that we received in this section, and then we proceed to study a book that represents a sample for studying this type of writing in the Islamic heritage, and our choice was the book The Wonders of Creatures and Oddities of Existences by Al-Qazwini. (d. 682 AH).The research focused on studying Al-Qazwini’s approach.

the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad on Sunday morning, 2/11/2024, in the hall of Professor Nabila Abdel Moneim in the center, organized the celebration of the 46th anniversary of its founding, in the presence of Professor Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, Assistant to the President of the University for Scientific Affairs, and Professor Dr. Mustafa. Muhammad Amin Al-Hiti, head of the Iraqi Pharmacists Syndicate, Dr. Harith Muhammad, Director of the Media Department at the Presidency of the University of Baghdad, and a number of professors and researchers, opened the celebration with a fragrant recitation of the verses of the Holy Quran, then the reading of the Iraqi national anthem, the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs, and the speech of the Scientific Assistant, where he praised In his speech, he spoke about the distinguished efforts made in managing the center, thanking this interest in the pioneers and heritage, and then the speech of the director of the center, welcoming special guests, recalling that the center is one of the solid research edifices of the University of Baghdad, as it is concerned with documenting and preserving the nation’s heritage and transferring knowledge to present and future generations. Then A speech by the President of the Iraqi Pharmacists Syndicate, mentioning his life since he was director of the center, what obstacles he faced, and what achievements he brought to the center. The center made good strides in achieving its noble goals, including holding conferences, seminars, workshops, and courses in order to serve the Arab heritage, which represents the most important The components of his message. In conclusion, the director of the center thanked the attendees and those in charge of this celebration, wishing them continued success.
