under the supervision of Professor Dr. Alaa Nafi Jassim, Director of the Center, the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad on Wednesday morning, corresponding to February 14, 2024, and in the hall of Professor Nabila Abdel Moneim in our center, organized a workshop entitled (Side effects of medical drugs between heritage and modernity) A.M.D. delivered Muhammad Abdul Hassan Jabara, Director of the University Health Division at the University of Baghdad, speaking about modern medical drugs and alternative medicine and how to use these drugs in the correct manner and with the regularity prescribed by the doctor. Jabara added that medicines are dangerous when used incorrectly and may lead to death, mentioning the most important chronic diseases such as Blood pressure, diabetes, and endocrine diseases in general. Medications for these diseases must be used correctly. He stressed that nutrition is half the treatment, and exercise and stimulating blood circulation help to have a healthy structure free of diseases. Then, Professor Dr. Zainab Kamel Karim’s teaching lecture at our center, and the title of her lecture is Archeology. (Side effects of some poison medications according to Muslim doctors / Al-Mansouri’s book on medicine) Knowledge A drug and medicine is a healing substance that is extracted from a natural source, such as plants and animals, such as microorganisms, insects, marine organisms, and mammals. Among the drugs are what is extracted from mountain rocks, such as salts and gold salts. The drug in its natural form may be unpalatable, and its concentration within the plant may vary. From time to time, according to the climatic conditions that affect the plant, therefore, drugs are manufactured in a form acceptable to the patient through the pharmaceutical preparation, and therefore the medicine is composed of one or more drugs. Arab doctors mentioned many single and combined medicines, their benefits, uses, and methods of preparation. They also mentioned some of the harmful effects of some plant and animal medicines…

the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad on Sunday morning, 2/11/2024, in the hall of Professor Nabila Abdel Moneim in the center, organized the celebration of the 46th anniversary of its founding, in the presence of Professor Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, Assistant to the President of the University for Scientific Affairs, and Professor Dr. Mustafa. Muhammad Amin Al-Hiti, head of the Iraqi Pharmacists Syndicate, Dr. Harith Muhammad, Director of the Media Department at the Presidency of the University of Baghdad, and a number of professors and researchers, opened the celebration with a fragrant recitation of the verses of the Holy Quran, then the reading of the Iraqi national anthem, the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs, and the speech of the Scientific Assistant, where he praised In his speech, he spoke about the distinguished efforts made in managing the center, thanking this interest in the pioneers and heritage, and then the speech of the director of the center, welcoming special guests, recalling that the center is one of the solid research edifices of the University of Baghdad, as it is concerned with documenting and preserving the nation’s heritage and transferring knowledge to present and future generations. Then A speech by the President of the Iraqi Pharmacists Syndicate, mentioning his life since he was director of the center, what obstacles he faced, and what achievements he brought to the center. The center made good strides in achieving its noble goals, including holding conferences, seminars, workshops, and courses in order to serve the Arab heritage, which represents the most important The components of his message. In conclusion, the director of the center thanked the attendees and those in charge of this celebration, wishing them continued success.

Sponsored by of Professor Dr. Alaa Nafi Jassim, Director of the Center, the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad organized a scientific symposium entitled (Women in Leadership Perspective) which held on Wednesday , 31/1/ 2024, in the hall of Professor Nabila Abdel Moneim in the center, The symposium was opened with a recitation. Fragrant from the wise remembrance, reciting the national anthem, and standing to recite the Surah Al-Fatihah for the souls of the righteous martyrs. The first research by Dr. Yusra Karim Mohsen Al-Alaq, Director General of the National Department for Iraqi Women in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, entitled (Supporting Women’s Political Participation) as a speaker. The National Department for Iraqi Women has distinguished experience in the field of supporting and enhancing the political participation of Iraqi women in decision-making through its work to increase participation in the legislative elections for the year (2021), the results of which were to raise the level of Iraq’s classification in the percentage of women’s participation in legislative bodies. At the global level, Al-Alaq added that there are major goals for women leaders The first goal: reviewing the frameworks and procedures adopted by institutions to enhance women’s political participation in elections Second goal: Providing legal protection for women in elections and protecting them from all types of violence during elections Third goal: Increase societal understanding and raise awareness regarding the importance of women’s political participation Fourth goal: Developing women’s capabilities for political work and effective participation Then A.M.D. searched. Arwad Muhammad Malik / College of Political Sciences / University of Baghdad, and the title of her research is (The importance of successful leadership qualities of women), speaking that women are a human resource shining with talents and abilities, as they are the second half of society, as they are distinguished by their strength in managing social and humanitarian activities. She added that women are distinguished by their Personal strength: wise and self-confident Then Dr. searched. Alaa Ali Majeed / National Center for Population and Demographic Studies / University of Baghdad, and the title of her research is (Social Empowerment of Women Leaders), speaking that the academic qualification of women has strongly helped their presence in the world of work and the formation of their professional path in light of the presence of obstacles related to the social environment, customs, norms and traditions.

Prof. Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim (the director of the center of heritage revival) with Dr. Mazin Qasim Muhalhal (one of the center’s members)  visited the house of books and documents on Monday 29^th/1/2024 through which they met with With the Assistant Director General of Dar Al-Kutub to renew the cooperation contract between the two parties, such as holding seminars, scientific workshops, and conferences, as well as holding exhibitions of historical documents. At the conclusion of the visit, the Director of the Dar Al-Kutub and Documents thanked the delegation, wishing them continued success …

Supervised by prof. Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim ( the director of the center ) , the center organizes seminar entitled ( surprises in Holy Quran ) on Monday 29^th/1/2024 where sited on the gallery of the center ,the seminar presented by Taha Sabti Ibraheem (the chief of syntactic sciences department) who talks about surprises The word “suddenly” is not mentioned in the Noble Qur’an, but its meaning is “when the word “his suddenness” occurs, which came in the context of God Almighty’s punishment of the deniers of the resurrection and the resurrection. . The word (if) was also mentioned, which indicates that something happened suddenly, and it is called in the case of idle talk (if suddenly), and as in the Almighty’s saying in the story of Moses, peace be upon him, (and behold, it is alive, running) and other noble verses. The goal of the seminar is to identify the meaning of surprise in the Holy Qur’an Its work explains the occurrence of some accidents depicting a surprise or its effect on the soul. Assist. Prof. Dr. Wasan Hussein Muhiemeed ( the chief of manuscript department) has published an essay entitled ( Popular heritage in the Abbasid era: hospitalization in monasteries ( in the Eastern star no.116 ,2023.

As part of the “Together” campaign to create an environment that rejects the phenomenon of harassment, assist lecturer . Juman Adnan Hussein, a lecturer at the center,  participated in the scientific symposium entitled  (The phenomenon of harassment in Iraqi society and ways to reduce it) on Tuesday, 1/16/2024, who presented a research entitled (Sexual harassment and its long-term effects). Knowing sexual harassment: is it any formula? Unwelcome words or actions of a sexual nature that violate someone’s body, privacy, or feelings, and make them feel uncomfortable, threatened, insecure, fearful, disrespectful, intimidating, humiliating, offending, or intimidating. Or violating the memory of types of sexual harassment, including Sexual harassment can take different forms and may include one or more forms at the same time: the harasser’s probing gaze, staring or looking inappropriately at a woman’s body, or certain parts of her body or eyes. The harasser’s facial expressions are any type of facial expression that carries a suggestion with sexual intentions, a request for a phone number, an invitation to dinner, or other suggestions that may implicitly or overtly carry a sexual nature.

Dr. Saadi Ibraham Aldaragi (one of the center’s members) in the occasion of  Referral to retirement  where held on the center’s hall , the director of the center presented an essay who says:

You were our respected professor and you are still a symbol of science and knowledge. Congratulations on your retirement, and we hope that God will place the work you have provided for us in the balance of your good deeds. At the conclusion of the ceremony, Dr. Saadi was honored with the creativity shield for his scientific and practical efforts and a certificate of appreciation from the center’s director, wishing him a happy retirement life.
