The center of heritage revival organizes Awareness lecture
The Center for the Revival of Heritage organizes an awareness lecture Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Alaa Nafeh Jassim, Director of the Center, the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad organized on Monday morning, October 21, 2024, at exactly ten o’clock in the morning, in the hall of Professor Nabila Abdel Moneim Daoud, and in the presence of a number of lecturers and affiliates of the center. The session was chaired by Dr. Liqa Shaker Khattar, a lecturer from our center, to present the lecture curriculum, which included (the awareness program for the month of October for breast cancer). The lecture was given by Dr. Yasser Jamal Al-Badri / Oncology Teaching Hospital in the City of Medicine, speaking about breast cancer, which is a disease in which abnormal cells grow out of control and form tumors. If left untreated, these tumors can spread throughout the body, and it is the most common type of cancer. The most important basic factors for its emergence and methods of treatment in terms of spreading awareness and prevention of this disease through early detection and urging it by the media and health teams in hospitals and awareness centers and providing an integrated service to combat breast cancer. Al-Badri added the necessity of adhering to preventive advice before this disease occurs or avoiding it by maintaining a healthy weight as obesity increases the risk of infection, eating healthy foods rich in vegetables and fruits, as well as maintaining physical activity and exercising regularly, and refraining from smoking and inhaling other people’s smoke. In conclusion, she opened the door for discussion and asking questions to the lecturer to avoid such cases in the future. The director of the center thanked the lecturer for publishing such topics at the present time due to the high incidence of this disease. We hope from God a speedy recovery for those infected with it.

Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Alaa Nafeh Jassim, Director of the Center, the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad organized a scientific workshop for the Department of Human Studies on Wednesday morning, October 16, 2024, at exactly eleven o’clock in the morning, in the hall of Professor Nabila Abdel Moneim Daoud, and in the presence of a number of professors and researchers. The session was chaired by Professor Dr. Salar Ali Khader to present the workshop entitled (Views on the Intellectual Project of Dr. Imad al-Din Khalil). The lecture was given by Professor Dr. Riyadh Saeed Latif, speaking about his civilizational project, which was distinguished by its focus on blending the Islamic vision with modern civilizational values through reviving the Islamic identity in a contemporary perspective that combines modern civilizational values and challenges and highlighting its ability to interact with the contemporary world. He stressed that Dr. Imad al-Din believed that the required reform in Islamic societies must be comprehensive, addressing political, social, economic and intellectual aspects. Through this project, he aimed to present a vision Comprehensive, based on Islam as a civilizing force that can be part of global solutions. In conclusion, the floor was opened for discussions and the workshop addressed the most important works of Dr. Imad Al-Din Khalil. The director of the center thanked the lecturer for presenting the lecture, wishing him continued success in serving our university and our beloved Iraq.
Director of the Heritage Revival Center chairs a scientific session
Under the patronage of His Excellency the President of the Scientific Academy (Al-Khalideen Academy), Professor Dr. Muhammad Hussein Al-Yassin, Professor Dr. Alaa Nafeh Jassim, Director of the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage / University of Baghdad, chaired the scientific lecture entitled (Medical Ethics in Ancient Civilizations and Arab-Islamic Civilization) on Tuesday morning, October 15, 2024, at exactly eleven o’clock, in the hall of the Iraqi Scientific Academy, and in the presence of a number of scientific figures, researchers and members of the Iraqi Scientific Academy. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Radhi Jawad Baqir Al-Bayati / Head of Otorhinolaryngology Specialists. We wish them continued success.
THE organizes seminar Urban Structures in the Mamluk Era
Under the supervision of the Director of the Center, Professor Dr. Alaa Nafeh Jassim, the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad organized a seminar on Monday morning, October 14, 2024, at exactly ten o’clock in the morning, in the hall of Professor Nabila Abdel Moneim Daoud, entitled (Urban Structures in the Mamluk Era). The lecture was given by Assistant Professor Dr. Rasha Issa Faris spoke about the most important urban facilities during the Mamluk era, as the country witnessed a great scientific renaissance, as the Mamluk sultans played a role in building many religious, civil and military landmarks, the traces of which still exist. This period was characterized by great interest in the arts of architecture and engineering, and many mosques, schools, cemeteries and khanqahs were built. Among the most prominent Mamluk mosques are the school and mosque of Sultan Qalawun 683-684 / 1284-1285 AD, the Hijazi School, which was established by Mrs. Khoshtar al-Hijaziyya, daughter of Sultan Muhammad Qalawun, the Zahiri School, which was built by King al-Zahir Baybars al-Bunqdari, and the Mu’ayyad School. The researcher touched on the most important khanqahs in Egypt, which are the Khanqah al-Bunduqdariyya, named after Prince Alaa al-Din al-Bunduqdar, the Khanqah of Seriaqos, in addition to many other facilities that played a prominent and effective role in spreading culture and science in a way that serves
Participation in scientific symposium
Assist. Prof. Dr. Wasan Hussein Mohaimeed at the human sciences department /participated in scientific symposium (Mosul city and the Bayn Alnahrain journal a journey of establishment and documented Mosul heritage 1972-2023) that had held by cultural Eastern star house in cooperation with college of With Babylon Theological Collegethrough aperiod from 8th to 10th of October in Einkawa –Erbil , she presented a research entitled ( the journal Bayn Alnahrain –ajourney of establishment and documented Mosuli heritage 1972-2023) , the research depareted into two axes , the first one deals with the establishing the journal and the role of father yousif father in publishing it The administration is at the headquarters of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart in the same neighborhood. When Father Youssef Habbi moved to Baghdad between 1990-1991 to assume the deanship of the Babylon College of Philosophy and Theology / session, the magazine “Between the Two Rivers” moved with him to be headquartered in Baghdad. After his unfortunate death on the Baghdad-Amman road in 2000, the magazine’s archives were transferred to the “Najm Al-Mashriq” Cultural House and have been there to this day. Father Habbi was known for being comprehensive in his writings, and there is hardly a section of the magazine, with its various branches, that is devoid of his articles. The second section included an index of the names of researchers and their articles about Mosul. From this index, we can see the total number of researchers who wrote about the city of Mosul (Nineveh) throughout the time periods it went through and on various aspects of life in it, since the first issue of the magazine “Between the Two Rivers” was published until 2023.

Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim ( the director of the center) , the center of heritage revival organizes scientific symposium entitled (The science of tricks is an advantage of the pioneers of Islamic civilization in mechanical engineering.) on Wednesday 9/10/2024 where sited on the Nabila A. gallery , the first lecture is presented by instructor Dr. Thamer Salah Al-dulaimi /college of engineering /department of mechanical engineering who talks about the world of ticks(mechanics) and its beginning and its goals of innovation in addition to its effect on the various sides of life socially and intellectualy as well as its effect on filds of sciences arts and architecture ensures Muslim scientists who have They are the ones who have a clear imprint and a great impact on the emergence, spread and development of this science and the benefit from these lessons that are important in building the principle of innovation and supporting innovators. The second lecture was given by Prof. Dr. Essam Mohamed Ali / Faculty of Engineering / Department of Mechanical Engineering, speaking about the Islamic civilization, has reached great horizons in various fields of engineering. These huge achievements must have been the result of the brilliant efforts of unique scientists who spent their lives and money in worship of God by seeking knowledge and teaching it to others and facilitating the means of life on earth with wonderful inventions. The history of Islamic civilization is replete with the names of hundreds, even thousands of scientists who succeeded in changing the face of life with the inventions and innovations they provided to humanity, from which all sciences and knowledge benefited, some of which are still used to this day, and which excelled in the sciences of engineering, astronomy, mathematics, and others. Some of the inventions and innovations provided by Muslim scientists who changed the face of life throughout the ages are (Muhammad, Ahmed, and Al-Hassan), the sons of Musa bin Shaker. In conclusion, the door was opened for discussion in front of the audience, and the discussions culminated in learning more about the scientific innovations of these scientists. The Director of the Center thanked the lecturers and presented them with certificates of appreciation, wishing them continued success in serving our university and our beloved Iraq

A group of holy kadhumiya shrine visits the center of heritage revival / university of Baghdad on Tuesday 8th/10/2024 , the director of the center Alaa Nafea Jasim with the administration manager Mr. Fares Essa Fares received them where they Check out the special latest activities with shrines with the center in addition to activate cooperation with the two centers and they present special issue of khadumiya journal by the director of their center Dr. Emad Alkadhumi who support our center and it was agreed to exchange visits to consult on future activities. The center director expressed her thanks and appreciation to the delegation, hoping for success from God for all .
