Dawood . the lecture presented by assist. Prof. Basma Khalil Namiq (college of political sciences who talked about the violence against women defined It is the violence that is practiced deliberately or exceptionally against women, whether it is physical or psychological, as it is considered the most common violation of human rights, remembering the United Nations declaration of the elimination of violence against women, as all humanitarian organizations in the world work to combat this phenomenon and mentioned that the date of 25 November is the International Day for Combating Violence against Women. Jasim , the center had held a celebration about the ( worldly heritage day) in 18th of April The day approved by the international organization UNESCO in order to protect the global human heritage in all countries of the world To preserve the cultural heritage of people, especially the Arab homeland, including our dear country full of cultural and historical heritage, the fact that Iraq is a cradle of civilizations, and a country rich in a diverse heritage, Iraq had joined the World Heritage Sites Treaty on the fifth of March in the year 1974 AD, which made it eligible for inclusion Historic sites to preserve his heritage from the danger of extinction, looting and vandalism. Professor Dr. Alaa Nafie, cheif of the Center, delivered her speech on the occasion of this day, and Professor Dr. Saadi Al-Daradji delivered his lecture titled (Heritage Sites in Iraq), The cultural organization of UNESCO and its serious endeavors in preserving the world heritage and popular heritage as well as protecting museums, religious heritage and historical cities in Iraq and the Arab world as a whol..

Dawood in the center , it is presented by prof. Dr. Ahmad shihab Ahmad Albanaa (college of sciences –Geology department –Baghdad university)who talks that earthquicks Earthquakes are a natural phenomenon that occurs daily in specific locations often and in small amounts. Large earthquakes are preceded by relatively small earthquakes, which are precursors to the main earthquake and last for several weeks or months. Heritage Revival Center organizes a workshop

 

Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Alaa Nafeh Jassim, Director of the Center, the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad organized on Wednesday morning, 18/1/2023, in the hall of Professor Nabila Abdel Moneim Daoud, a panel discussion entitled (Iraqi minarets, their history, functions, architecture) The seminar was delivered by Prof. Dr. Saadi Ibrahim Al-Daradji, Head of the Department of Pure Sciences at our center, speaking about the history of minarets in the Islamic city and their types, including the ladder minaret, the cylindrical minaret, the polygonal one, and the square minaret. He focused on the minarets of the city of peace, which witnessed the construction of different styles of minarets, the most important of which is the cylinder decorated with motifs of faience. Then he talked about the oldest minarets in Iraq, the most important of which are the Malwiya in Samarra, the Hadbaa in Mosul, and a minaret on it. He presented examples from Baghdad, especially the minaret of the Caliphate Mosque, the Qamar minaret, the slippers, and the Marjan Mosque…and touched on its various functions that we discover through the sources. Then he mentioned something about its architecture, the methods of building it, and the implementation of its decorations, whether the decorations were brick, stone, or faience, as well as the writings that adorned its balconies, bodies, and bases. The center’s professors participated in the discussion and influenced this panel discussion through questions, as opinions were raised about the maintenance of the minarets, which were affected by terrorism in Iraq, and an emphasis on documenting and reviving them again. Heritage Revival Center organizes an electronic symposium

 

The Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage / University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the Center for Mosul Studies, University of Mosul, organized an electronic symposium entitled (Scientific Connections between Mosul and Baghdad until the end of the Ottoman era) on Thursday, corresponding to 3/16/2023 at four o’clock in the afternoon, via the Google Meet platform ‏

Where the symposium began with the speech of the Preparatory Committee delivered by Prof. Dr. Maysoon Thanoon Al-Abaiji, Director of the Mosul Studies Center, in addition to the speech of the Scientific Committee presented by Prof. Dr. Alaa

The Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad, in cooperation with the Iraqi Pharmacists Syndicate, organized on Monday morning 12/19/2022, in the conference hall of the Syndicate, and in the presence of a number of professors and researchers, a scientific symposium entitled (Pharmacology in Heritage). The symposium opened with a fragrant recitation From the Holy Qur’an recited by Prof. Dr. Taha Sabti Ibrahim, a teacher in our center, then the Republican salutations with the reading of Surat Al-Fatihah on the souls of the righteous martyrs, then the speech of the President of the Iraqi Pharmacists Syndicate, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Al-Hiti, welcoming the honorable guests, speaking about the history of pharmacy and its heritage, which has an impact on our present and its role The Syndicate of Pharmacists on the importance of heritage and its roots extending throughout history, then the speech of Professor Dr. Alaa Nafie Jassim, Director of the Center for the Revival of the Arab Scientific Heritage, speaking about the importance of herbs and the manufacture of medicine and weeds in medicine because of its importance in the treatment of diseases, mentioning the scientific process of the Heritage Revival Center and its role in Several fields, including pharmacy, then the symposium was divided into two sessions headed by Prof. Dr. Saadi Ibrahim Al-Daraji, head of pure sciences in our center, conducted the first research by the experienced professor, Nabila Abdel Moneim Daoud, and the title of her research was (The Role of the Arabs in the Use of Herbs and Medicinal Plants, Al-Jami’s Manuscript of the Characteristics of Plants as a Model), speaking about the role of the Arabs in developing the science of herbs and medicinal plants in heritage Arab scientific is not a legacy or bequeathed to the ancestors, but rather a collection of the experiences of the Arab nation in giving and contributing to the benefit, and that most of the studies that dealt with the scientific achievements of the Arabs focused on the most prominent of them, their role and influence, while neglecting other sources of no less importance than the Greek source, such as the Babylonian and Egyptian sources and what they created. On the first day, the conference was divided into two sessions. The first session was chaired by Prof. Anas Essam Ismail and its rapporteur, Dr. Rasha Issa Fares and the first researcher, Ms. Nabila Abdel Moneim Daoud, and her research title is (Arabic is the language of scientific research), and Dr. Hassan Mandil from the College of Education for Girls and his research entitled (Features of the Linguistic Scientific Theory in the Linguistic Heritage of the Arabs) and the research of M.D. Iman Abd Ali from the College of Arts, Al-Mustansiriya University, and her research entitled (The Greek Origins of Cognitive Curricula in Arab Sciences) and a research by Prof. Dr. Zahra Khudair Abbas from the College of Education Ibn Al-Rushd and her research tagged (Arabic and New Rhetoric) and researched by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Saffar from London and his research tagged (Explanation of Ibn Bishron’s message and Ibn Khaldun’s comment on the making of chemistry) and the second session was chaired by Prof. Dr. The conscience of the Inad team and its rapporteur, Dr. Baida Abdul Hassan Raddam and research d. Shaima Najm Abdullah from the College of Education for Girls and Dr. Asmaa Hamid Rashid from Al-Nahrain Engineering and a number of other research papers were presented at the conference. Abdul Rahman Al-Ghantosi from Iraqi Education and researched by Dr. Farah Ghanem from the College of Education for Girls and a number of other research and the second session headed by Prof. Dr. Riyad Saeed Latif and its rapporteur, Dr. Shaker Khattar’s meeting and her first research was conducted by Dr. Thaer Mahmoud Obaid of the Center for Islamic Studies and Dr. Ikram bin Issa from the State of Algeria and a number of research papers. One of the most important recommendations of the conference is to confirm the importance of conferences concerned with heritage that contribute to the progress of society, to establish and participate in international, national and regional conferences in order to link the Arab scientific heritage with scientific reality, to enhance scientific interaction between the university, state institutions and organizations The scientific community, benefiting from research presented by researchers and developing them into research projects, working on establishing a modern laboratory in the Heritage Revival Center to be established in cooperation with the Faculties of Science and Engineering, spreading awareness of heritage among our youth and creating a subject for scientific heritage that is prescribed for study. Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Alaa Nafeh Jassim, Director of the Center, the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage / University of Baghdad organized on Tuesday morning, corresponding to 10/18/2022, in the hall of Ms. Nabila Abdel Moneim Daoud in the center, and in the presence of a number of professors and researchers, a seminar entitled (Dissension Words in the Qur’an Al-Karim) The seminar was delivered by Dr. Zainab Kamel Karim, editor-in-chief of the Arab Scientific Heritage Journal, in our center

Knowing dissension, which is disagreement, i.e. the group has split and divided. It is said that they split the stick of the Muslims, and the stick of the people split after it was united. When their affairs dispersed, and it is said that so-and-so is afflicted with rift and hardship, and that is a severe matter, as if from its severity it splits a person into cleavage. The dissension is taking in speech and in the rivalry right and left. Then I mentioned the dissension that includes indications, including the indication of the rift, except that the cleavage is neither visible nor penetrating, so cleavage and its brother in the meaning of its counterpart, and in the sense of schism in the Qur’an may indicate the first appearance of enmity. Al-Awwa and Al-Khalaf are the words of the Almighty (in a far-off rift) Al-Baqara. It also includes weight, fatigue, and hardship, and the rift includes the sign of distance, and among them is the long rift, which the Holy Qur’an described as the far-off rift in the words of the Almighty .

Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Alaa Nafeh Jassim, Director of the Center, the Center for the Revival of the Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Sabah organized on Wednesday, in 4/1/2023, in the hall of Professor Nabila Abdel Moneim Dawood in the center, a seminar entitled (Technical Treatments in Heating and Cooling Means in Iraqi Architecture)

The seminar was delivered by Prof. Dr. Saadi Ibrahim Al-Daradji, Head of the Department of Pure Sciences at our center. They shed light on aspects of environmental and climatic treatments in Iraqi architecture, and examined the architect’s efforts and contributions in adapting building materials and employing them with the aim of regulating the weather within the building units in a way that suits human nature and his living in all seasons.

The discussion focused on examples of mud buildings that still exist in Baghdad. The researcher had come across some of them during his field visits, so he photographed some of them and drew others. The importance of this seminar lies in documenting an aspect of the environmental treatments adopted by the Iraqi architecture in buildings that lived for many centuries while embracing a group of people who successively inherited it. Today, however, it is threatened with disappearance due to modernity, which forced them to abandon bricks and mud in whole or in part, and rely on cement and iron in the implementation of modern buildings. Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Alaa Nafeh Jassim, Director of the Center, the Center of the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage / University of Baghdad organized on Thursday morning, in 2/2/2023, in the hall of Professor Nabila Abdel Moneim Daoud, with the presence of a number of professors and researchers, a seminar entitled (The Richness of Meaning in Cut Letters at the beginning of the Qur’anic chapters).The seminar was delivered by Prof. Dr. Taha Sebti, a teacher at our center, speaking about the fourteen letters in the beginning of the Qur’anic chapters, and they have many meanings and various connotations, as a group of scholars believes that they are among the allegorical things that God Almighty has preserved with His knowledge. God Almighty.Another group held that it has meanings and indications, but they differed in what is meant by it precisely, and the most prominent of these opinions was that it was revealed for challenge and miracle, and it may be the names of the suras that were mentioned in it, or they are intended to alert and listen, or they are names of the Holy Qur’an, or sections God swears by it, and other sayings that indicate that the blessed text bears more than one meaning to indicate the richness of meaning in the Holy Qur’an.

A seminar entitled (The Prophet’s Politics in the Peace of Hudaybiyah) The seminar was delivered by Prof. Dr. Anas Issam Ismail, Head of the Department of Human Sciences at center.

The negotiations were between the Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and the Quraysh in the Hudaybiyah region, and the Quraysh sent him 4 negotiators, and his answer to the first and the second was (we came to perform Umrah and we do not want to fight).
