the center of heritage revival organizes workshop (Views on the Intellectual Project of Dr. Imad al-Din Khalil).

Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Alaa Nafeh Jassim, Director of the Center, the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad organized a scientific workshop for the Department of Human Studies on Wednesday morning, October 16, 2024, at exactly eleven o’clock in the morning, in the hall of Professor Nabila Abdel Moneim Daoud, and in the presence of a number of professors and researchers. The session was chaired by Professor Dr. Salar Ali Khader to present the workshop entitled (Views on the Intellectual Project of Dr. Imad al-Din Khalil). The lecture was given by Professor Dr. Riyadh Saeed Latif, speaking about his civilizational project, which was distinguished by its focus on blending the Islamic vision with modern civilizational values ​​through reviving the Islamic identity in a contemporary perspective that combines modern civilizational values ​​and challenges and highlighting its ability to interact with the contemporary world. He stressed that Dr. Imad al-Din believed that the required reform in Islamic societies must be comprehensive, addressing political, social, economic and intellectual aspects. Through this project, he aimed to present a vision Comprehensive, based on Islam as a civilizing force that can be part of global solutions. In conclusion, the floor was opened for discussions and the workshop addressed the most important works of Dr. Imad Al-Din Khalil. The director of the center thanked the lecturer for presenting the lecture, wishing him continued success in serving our university and our beloved Iraq.

Director of the Heritage Revival Center chairs a scientific session

Under the patronage of His Excellency the President of the Scientific Academy (Al-Khalideen Academy), Professor Dr. Muhammad Hussein Al-Yassin, Professor Dr. Alaa Nafeh Jassim, Director of the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage / University of Baghdad, chaired the scientific lecture entitled (Medical Ethics in Ancient Civilizations and Arab-Islamic Civilization) on Tuesday morning, October 15, 2024, at exactly eleven o’clock, in the hall of the Iraqi Scientific Academy, and in the presence of a number of scientific figures, researchers and members of the Iraqi Scientific Academy. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Radhi Jawad Baqir Al-Bayati / Head of Otorhinolaryngology Specialists. We wish them continued success.

Participation in scientific symposium 

Assist. Prof. Dr. Wasan Hussein Mohaimeed at the human sciences department /participated in scientific symposium (Mosul  city and the Bayn Alnahrain journal a journey of establishment and documented Mosul heritage 1972-2023) that had held by cultural Eastern star house in cooperation with college of With Babylon Theological Collegethrough aperiod from 8th to 10th of October in Einkawa –Erbil , she presented a research entitled ( the journal Bayn Alnahrain –ajourney of establishment and documented Mosuli heritage 1972-2023) , the research depareted into two axes , the first one deals with the establishing the journal and the role of  father yousif father in publishing it  The administration is at the headquarters of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart in the same neighborhood. When Father Youssef Habbi moved to Baghdad between 1990-1991 to assume the deanship of the Babylon College of Philosophy and Theology / session, the magazine “Between the Two Rivers” moved with him to be headquartered in Baghdad. After his unfortunate death on the Baghdad-Amman road in 2000, the magazine’s archives were transferred to the “Najm Al-Mashriq” Cultural House and have been there to this day. Father Habbi was known for being comprehensive in his writings, and there is hardly a section of the magazine, with its various branches, that is devoid of his articles. The second section included an index of the names of researchers and their articles about Mosul. From this index, we can see the total number of researchers who wrote about the city of Mosul (Nineveh) throughout the time periods it went through and on various aspects of life in it, since the first issue of the magazine “Between the Two Rivers” was published until 2023.

A delegation from the al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine visits  center of revival heritage

A delegation from the al-Abbas’s (p) Holy Shrine visited the Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage on Sunday morning, 10/6/2024. The delegation was received by the Director of the Center, Prof. Dr. Alaa Nafeh Jassim, where the delegation was briefed on the center’s library and its provision of scientific books. He opened up prospects for cooperation with the shrine and the center to hold scientific seminars and workshops in the future and urged the workers to develop strategic plans for the importance of manuscripts and place them at the top of scientific interests. The delegation thanked the center’s work team for the hospitality and warm reception, and the director of the center thanked them for their presence and interest in heritage in the service of our university and our beloved Iraq.

The center of heritage revival organizes symposium the effect of tour in rural developing

Under the supervision of prof. Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim , the center of heritage revival organizes scientific symposium entitled ( the effect of tour in rural developing) delegation from the Integrity Commission attended and worked on presenting educational brochures and distributing books and magazines related to the Commission to the attendees. The first lecture was given by the political advisor (Ruqayya Ali Al-Wakeel), Director of the Training and Tourism Development Department / Tourism Commission, speaking about the importance of the World Tourism Organization for rural tourism. An initiative was launched to select the best rural village for tourists, and the Al-Mahnawiya Island project was chosen. It is an island located in Babil Governorate in central Iraq to activate rural tourism, as this island contains symbols of ancient Assyrian, Sumerian and Babylonian civilizations, which made its geographical location clear for tourism. It is located between the two sides of the dam and Abi Ghraq in the middle of the Hilla River. The second lecture was given by the assistant lecturer (Zainab Qasim Muhammad) from the Department of Geography / College of Education for Girls at the University of Baghdad, who spoke about the impact of tourism and antiquities on the development of the countryside of Abu Ghraib District in terms of providing the most important tourism and entertainment services (hotels and restaurants) and shedding light on rural tourism towards the shrines in Abu Ghraib District in terms of planning and media and preserving them from atrophy. Tourism activity was limited to the spring and winter seasons due to the moderate and low temperatures due to the lack of sufficient buildings with cooling systems. The two researchers stressed the importance of the topic in tourism due to its economic importance in society. In conclusion, the director of the center thanked the two lecturers and the attendees and presented certificates of appreciation in appreciation of the efforts made to serve our university and our beloved Iraq.

The center of heritage revival holds meeting presidency by prof. Dr. Alaa Nafea Jasim with the scientific committee of the center where held in the center on Thursday 19th/9/2024 , it deals with matter that concerns with the sixth conference (the history of sciences about Arabs) they discussed conditions of participations in addition to form members of preparations , scientific committees conference  and others as well as they Determine the conference themes  and discussing some miscellaneous topics related to the center’s strategic activities and how to open up horizons of cooperation with other institutions .

Seminar  : (Signs of Pause and Start in the Holy Quran)

Under the supervision of Professor Dr. Alaa Nafeh Jassim, Director of the Center, the Center of the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage at the University of Baghdad organized a seminar, entitled (Signs of Pause and Start in the Holy Quran) where held on Monday, 16/9/ 2024, with the presence of a number of professors and researchers . The lecture was given by Professor Dr. Taha Sabti Ibrahim, Head of the Department of syntactic Sciences in the Center, who talked about The science of pause and start is considered part of the science of Tajweed. Imam Ali (may God honor his face) said in defining the chanting commanded in the Almighty’s saying ((And recite the Qur’an with chanting)) (Surat Al-Muzzammil: from verse: 4) he said: (Chapter: chanting the letters and knowing the pauses)).

Scholars have placed signs that guide the reader to the places of correct and incorrect pauses, and the most prominent of these signs are:

1- Mem: This sign indicates the pause Necessary.

2- geem: It indicates the permissible endowment.

3- Qala: It indicates the permissible endowment, although endowment is more appropriate.

4- salla: It indicates the permissible endowment, although connection is more appropriate.

5- La: It indicates the impermissibility of endowment

The Lecture the historical roots in Jewish sanctities

Assistant Professor Dr. Wasan Hussein Muhaimid, a lecturer in the Department of Humanities / Center for the Revival of Arab Scientific Heritage / University of Baghdad, gave a lecture entitled (The Historical Roots of Jewish Sanctities in Iraq) which was held on Saturday 7/13/2024 in the Word of Life Forum Hall affiliated with the National Evangelical Baptist Church. It was attended by a group of distinguished researchers. In it, she discussed the historical roots of the ancient presence of Jews in Iraq, then touched on their sanctities that are linked to the shrines of their prophets that are still visible to this day, namely the shrine of Joshua bin Nun (Joshua), Ezra (Ezra), Ezekiel (Al-Kifl), Daniel, Obadiah, Jonah (Jonah), and Nahum Al-Qoshi, referring to what was mentioned about these prophets in the Old Testament and what historical sources included of information confirming or denying the burial of these prophets in Iraq. She also discussed the shrines attributed to the Jews that belong to other prophets. Some of their righteous people include Seth, son of Adam, Benjamin, son of Jacob, the Prophet Job, the tomb of Rabbi Judah, son of Yetira, Joses the Galilean, and Isaac the Gaonite. Father Arar Badlian, the church’s pastor, presented the doctor with a certificate of appreciation and a shield of distinction, wishing her continued scientific giving.

The center of seminar the history of Feminist movements in Baghdad

 

Under the supervision by prof. Dr. Alaa N. Jasim (the director of the center ), the center organized seminar entitled (the history of Feminist movements in Baghdad)on the center’s hall with presence by many researchers and professors , the seminar is presented assist instructor Zainab Khalid Mohammad (one of the center’s professor ) who talks about he history of feminist movements in Baghdad and the conditions that Iraqi society was in during the period of Ottoman rule and then royal rule and the impact of these conditions on Iraqi women and advocates of liberation for them, as well as the international and Arab movements that had a great resonance in Iraqi society, and discussed the most important The activities carried out by some Iraqi women in that period, such as issuing magazines, establishing organizations, and holding conferences, all for the sake of liberating women and activating their role to participate with men in all aspects of social, political, cultural, and economic life. This movement resulted in the emergence of the first woman minister, In addition to many female doctors, lawyers, and teachers who clearly participated with men in the leadership of Iraqi society  ز
