However, examples of houses, inns, markets, and mosques that are distinguished by their planning and architecture have remained, sponsored by official institutions concerned with preserving heritage, most notably the General Authority for Antiquities and Heritage, the tourism departments, and the capital\u2019s municipality. They sought to preserve and utilize them to ensure their survival. Al-Daraji added many of the aforementioned examples that depicted examples of Iraqi architecture, and even the most sophisticated architecture has reached in terms of artistry in designing and decorating architectural elements.
