The center of heritage revival organizes seminar ( the historical origin of Weather term) \u00a0:<\/span><\/p>\n

Supervised by prof. Dr. Alaa n. Jasim (the director of the center) , the center of heritage revival in the university of Baghdad organizes seminar entitled ) the historical origin of Weather term) where sited in the Nabila A. Al-Munam hall in the center on 17th<\/sup>\/3\/2025. The lecture is presented by prof. Dr. Salar Ali Khudhir (the chief of the humanity studies department) who defined weather as a conditions over a short period of time, hours or days. It has become clear that this term is not Arabic, but rather has a Greek origin. It is linked to the Greek term isthmus, which refers to the origin of life or the four elements of life, which are earth, water, air, and fire. The reason for linking weather to isthmus is that weather and its atmospheric conditions are linked to the four elements of life. Earth in isthmus corresponds to place in weather, which is the space in which weather conditions occur. Water in isthmus corresponds to water vapor, atmospheric humidity, clouds, and rain in weather. Air in isthmus corresponds to winds and air masses in weather. He added that fire in isthmus corresponds to solar radiation and temperatures in weather.
