The lecture was given by M.M. Mohammed Hashim Hussein from the College of Political Science \/ University of Baghdad, speaking about people with disabilities, defined them as a category of learners who need additional support to enable them to participate effectively in the educational environment, as the concept of disability includes several types, including (physical disability, visual disability, hearing disability, mental disability, and learning disorders such as dysgraphia and memory difficulties). The researcher added to reviewing the most prominent challenges facing people with disabilities in the traditional educational system, including academic, social, technological and environmental challenges, and highlighting innovative strategies aimed at enhancing their academic achievement and adapting them to the educational environment. He also mentioned the social and psychological reasons faced by students with disabilities that lead them to psychological obstacles and a feeling of isolation. The workshop also recommended the necessity of providing comprehensive education, adopting assistive technology, and training teachers to deal with people with special needs and activating the role of the family and society in supporting this segment. In conclusion, the director of the center thanked the media unit for holding this workshop and presenting a certificate of appreciation to the researcher, wishing him continued success.
