It is said that they split the stick of the Muslims, and the stick of the people split after it was united. When their affairs dispersed, and it is said that so-and-so is afflicted with rift and hardship, and that is a severe matter, as if from its severity it splits a person into cleavage. The dissension is taking in speech and in the rivalry right and left. Then I mentioned the dissension that includes indications, including the indication of the rift, except that the cleavage is neither visible nor penetrating, so cleavage and its brother in the meaning of its counterpart, and in the sense of schism in the Qur\u2019an may indicate the first appearance of enmity. Al-Awwa and Al-Khalaf are the words of the Almighty (in a far-off rift) Al-Baqara.
